AI Summary

You will own and manage the Western U.S. territory by developing sales strategies, growing existing accounts, and prospecting for new business. You are responsible for managing dealer relationships, preparing quotes, and maintaining accurate sales forecasts.

THE SHORT VERSION

We are hiring one person to own Dolav's Western territory. You will carry the region, decide how to work it, and be paid on what you build. If you have sold equipment, OEM components, packaging, or another considered industrial purchase, and you have been waiting for a territory you can genuinely run, this is that role.

ABOUT DOLAV

Dolav manufactures heavy-duty reusable plastic bulk containers and pallets used every day in food processing, produce and agriculture, industrial manufacturing, and recycling. Dolav USA Inc. is the North American subsidiary, headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, backed by a global manufacturer. We are a small, direct team. There are no layers between you and the people who make decisions, and no queue to get an answer.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

  • The full Western territory, from Washington and California through the Mountain West to Alaska, Hawaii, and British Columbia.
  • Existing accounts to protect and grow, plus a wide-open field of processors, growers, manufacturers, and recyclers never called on.
  • Your own territory strategy, call plan, and pipeline.
  • Dealer and distributor relationships across the region.
  • Quotes, proposals, and negotiations within established pricing guidelines.
  • Accurate forecasting and customer records that let us support you properly.

WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT

  • Autonomy that is real. Nobody scripts your week. You build the plan, and we back it.
  • Income you control. Competitive base salary plus variable compensation tied to sales and margin performance. What you grow, you earn on.
  • A product you can stand behind. Durable, reusable, and engineered, already proven in the field. You will be solving material handling problems, not discounting a commodity.
  • We will teach you the rest. If you know how to sell to industrial buyers, we will teach you our products, our markets, and our customers. You get direct access to engineering and operations in the United States and at our global headquarters.
  • Room to grow. This is a developing territory. The person who builds it will have built something visible.

WHO DOES WELL HERE

  • You are self-directed. Running your own week from a home office energizes you rather than drifting on you.
  • You are curious about how things are made, and you ask good questions on a plant floor.
  • You want to be measured on results and compensated for them.
  • You are comfortable being new at something and you learn fast.
  • You do what you said you would do, and customers remember that about you.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • At least two years of business-to-business sales experience with a record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Experience selling equipment, OEM or industrial products, packaging, or a comparable considered purchase.
  • Experience working with dealer or distributor networks and end customers.
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills with sound business judgment.
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to our insurer.
  • Residence within the Western territory, preferably Washington, Oregon, or California, and within about an hour of a commercial airport.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field with 3 to 5 years of sales and marketing experience.
  • Experience with SAP Business One and a CRM platform.
  • Knowledge of food processing, produce, dairy, seafood, agriculture, farming, or recycling operations in the West.
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into customer solutions.

TRAVEL

30 to 50 percent within the assigned territory, including air travel to Alaska, Hawaii, and British Columbia. A valid passport, or the ability to obtain one, is required for customer travel to British Columbia. Occasional travel outside the territory for company meetings, trade shows, and training.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Base salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 per year, with a target of $100,000. This is a good faith estimate of what we expect to pay at hire. Actual pay depends on experience, skills, and work location.
  • Variable sales compensation under the Dolav USA sales incentive plan, paid on sales and margin performance.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) with company contribution.
  • Paid time off and paid holidays.
  • Paid sick leave in accordance with the law of the state where you live.
  • Vehicle allowance of $100 per week and communication allowance of $100 per month.
  • Company laptop and reimbursement of approved business travel expenses.

EQUAL OPPORTUNITY

Dolav USA Inc. is an equal opportunity employer. Employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, military or veteran status, or any other status protected by federal, state, or local law. We do not ask for salary history. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered in accordance with applicable law.
