Overview
To lead the regional plants in financial analysis and partnering services, while maintaining adequate controls to ensure compliance with financial policies. The Finance Director provides financial leadership to business decision making, and sound, innovative planning in managing the region’s financial affairs to maximize long-term profits, cash flow and total return to HCA stakeholders. Responsible for appraising operating results in terms of costs, budgets, policies of operations, trends and driving increased profit opportunities, while leveraging HCA’s accounting & control services infrastructure to maximize team efforts.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing all operational areas affecting the business, including Planning and Forecasting, Asset Management, Manufacturing/Costing, and ad hoc analysis as required.
- Proactively partners with the business management in establishing and managing the strategic direction and financial goals to drive breakthrough results.
- Interprets operating results as they affect the financial aspects of the business and makes specific recommendations which will result in cost reduction and profit improvement.
- Directs the preparation of statistics for periodic and yearly financial metrics, including the preparation of charts and graphs showing key performance metrics progress, conditions and results.
- Provides financial analysis and support to the business, including capital expenditure justification and analysis, sales trend analysis, and customer/product P&L analysis.
- Assists with coordination and completeness of the Strategic Plan and Budget Plan processes, including identifying key issues, objectives, risks and opportunities.
- Identifies best practices and continuous improvement opportunities and facilitates embedment of the practices into the organization.
- Provides direct supervision to employees, ensuring development of the team to reach their full potential through individual coaching, training, career development, and preparing them to assume increased responsibility.
- Participates in travel required by CFO or Regional Operations Director, as needed. Estimated 50% travel minimum.
- Complete ad hoc projects, as needed.
- Perform any other project/task as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and/or MBA preferred.• Minimum Ten (10) years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, required.• Minimum Five (5) years prior management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, required.• Demonstrates initiative, dedication, and technical competence.• Proficient in computer/systems skills – MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook). • Knowledge of SAP and IFS required, with similar ERP software knowledge also preferred. • Knowledge of ERP systems architecture required.• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.• Excellent cooperation and collaboration skills• Proven organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines. • High degree of concentration, attention to detail, high energy, self-motivated and self-reliant.• Ability to interact well with all personality types.• Ability to handle personal and confidential information.
