The Regional Finance Controller will lead global finance operations, including consolidated reporting, tax compliance, and internal controls. They are responsible for architecting AI-driven finance workflows and managing multi-entity financial integrity across international jurisdictions.
This is a remote position.
Location: Remote - Latin America
Preferred markets: Argentina, Colombia, Brazil
We are looking for an exceptional finance leader to build and operate a world-class global controllership and finance operations function. You will be responsible for financial integrity, operational excellence, and the systems that allow leadership to understand and improve the economics of the business.
This role is for someone who can move comfortably between consolidated financial statements, tax and entity structure, operating margin, cash controls, audit readiness, team leadership, ERP/process architecture, and AI-driven automation. You should be as comfortable investigating a reconciliation issue as redesigning the process that caused it.
Global monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions.
Consolidated financial reporting, balance-sheet integrity, intercompany accounting, FX, and multi-currency operations.
Global entity and finance operating structure, including coordination of statutory, tax, transfer-pricing, banking, and compliance requirements with external specialists.
Internal controls, approval frameworks, segregation of duties, audit readiness, and financial-risk management.
Cash, treasury, AP/AR governance, working capital, collections, purchasing controls, and spend discipline.
Profitability and margin protection: identifying leakage, unprofitable customers/products/processes, cost drivers, and corrective actions.
Executive financial reporting, KPI design, scenario analysis, forecasting support, and decision-quality improvement.
Leadership of finance/accounting teams across geographies, with clear standards, operating rhythms, accountability, and development.
Finance systems and process architecture across ERP/accounting, CRM, billing, banking, payroll, expense, and reporting environments.
AI and automation strategy for finance operations, including practical agentic workflows and repeatable controls around AI-assisted work.
We want a leader who already uses AI as an operating tool, not someone whose experience is limited to occasional prompting. You should be able to design or direct agentic and automated workflows that make finance faster, more accurate, more proactive, and easier to audit.
Build or architect agents/workflows for reconciliations, variance investigation, invoice/document analysis, exception detection, management reporting, research, collections follow-up, and control monitoring.
Connect AI workflows to structured operating procedures, approval rules, source systems, and human review points.
Distinguish tasks that should be automated from decisions that require finance judgment or segregation of duties.
Use AI to accelerate analysis while preserving traceability, confidentiality, auditability, and financial-control standards.
Teach the team how to use AI safely and productively and measure whether automation actually improves cycle time, quality, and cost.
7+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, with substantial Controller, Regional Controller, Finance Director, Director of Accounting, or equivalent leadership responsibility.
Demonstrated ownership of a multi-entity and multi-country finance environment; North American experience is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of consolidated reporting, intercompany, revenue/expense recognition, treasury, tax coordination, statutory requirements, and audit.
IFRS and/or US GAAP depth; CPA/CA or equivalent professional designation strongly preferred.
Experience with complex entity structures, international tax coordination, transfer pricing, and cross-border finance operations.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate profitability, unit economics, working capital, cost structure, and financial risks rather than only report historical results.
Experience building or transforming finance processes, shared services, ERP/finance systems, or automation programs.
Strong people leadership: mature judgment, executive communication, ability to challenge constructively, and ability to build leaders beneath you.
Advanced, demonstrable use of AI tools and/or experience designing agentic workflows, automation, or AI-enabled operating systems.
Excellent written and spoken English.
A particularly attractive career path would be Big Four or equivalent technical training followed by progressively broader controllership or finance leadership inside a multinational organization, including responsibility for multiple countries and direct interaction with North American or global executives. Technology, SaaS, telecom, fleet/IoT, services, or other operationally complex businesses are especially relevant.
Leadership can trust the numbers and understand the drivers behind them.
Close, reconciliations, and reporting become faster, cleaner, and more standardized.
Entity, tax, banking, and intercompany structures are understood, documented, and actively managed.
Margin leakage, unnecessary spend, working-capital issues, and financial risks are surfaced proactively.
Finance processes become measurably more automated without weakening controls.
The organization has a clear global finance operating model with accountable owners, controls, SLAs, and escalation paths.
Finance requires less executive intervention because the leader and team independently identify and resolve issues.
