The Manager of Product Strategy (PSM) ensures the company delivers valuable products to Ministry Partners and clients throughout the product life cycle for our 3 target markets; Protestant Churches, Catholic Churches, and Faith-Based NonProfits. This position creates a profitable portfolio strategy and priorities that lead others to achieve the agreed-upon vision and goals for a significant portion of ACST's products. The PSM must balance the needs of multiple players, markets, serve as a communications center, and mediate conflicting interests between stakeholders such as product, engineering, marketing, sales, customer success, integrated partners, and clients. This role is responsible for creating and managing product and market business plans and performas for our Build, Buy, and Partner strategies.
What You'll Do:
Leads creation of market product initiatives and goals
Leads creation of product roadmap, working across departments, and ensures company-wide communication and alignment to vision and goals
Conducts market and competitive research to determine winning positions and opportunities
Solicits, clarifies, and validates input from internal and external stakeholders
Develops business case for significant product investments using high-level analysis and ROI projections
Coordinates product/solutions roll-out and launch strategies across various business, market & product groups (i.e., R&D, Sales, Marketing, Training & Implementation, and Support)
Defines and defends product strategy and positioning, including pricing strategy
Develops and maintains strong and deep product knowledge of our entire ecosystem
Prioritizes customer problems to solve and market opportunities for revenue and profit growth
Communicates a clear and consistent market message throughout the organization
Synthesizes key business metrics for markets & products (including P&L), with accountability for agreed targets
Accomplishes results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; and initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
What We're Looking For:
BS or BA Degree in Business or related technical field requiring research and data analysis with 6-8 years experience as a Product Manager or similar, or an equivalent mix of education and experience. An MBA is a plus.
Product Manager certification or equivalent (or ability to obtain certification within 12 months)
Able to travel, primarily for customer visits, up to 33% of the time.
Solid understanding of software design and agile development processes
Proven ability to develop business case and launch strategies for new products/features
Track record of success in a similar role(s), including creating and managing budgets
Demonstrated ability to perform complex analysis, including customer analysis, financial analyses (including pricing), forecasts, and market trends
Strong ability to collaborate across various disciplines and business segments and to influence without direct authority
Able to work effectively with churches and church leaders across a full Christian marketplace
