Spacelift is the infrastructure orchestration platform built for the modern software era, managing the full lifecycle for both traditional IaC and AI-accelerated infrastructure. It integrates with Terraform, OpenTofu, CloudFormation, Pulumi, and Ansible in a single governed workflow so you deliver secure, compliant infrastructure at scale. Developer self-service, Golden Paths with guardrails, an OPA policy engine, and drift detection accelerate developer velocity while maintaining control. Spacelift Intelligence adds AI-powered provisioning and diagnostics across traditional and AI-driven workflows.
Spacelift was founded in 2020 by long-time DevOps practitioner Marcin Wyszynski and successful entrepreneur Pawel Hytry and has raised $82.3M in funding over four rounds from top venture capital firms including Insight Partners, Blossom Capital, Hoxton Ventures, Inovo Venture partners and Five Elms Capital.
Spacelift is looking for a Product Manager to help shape and deliver products for teams using Kubernetes or Ansible in production.
You will own a defined product area from customer discovery through delivery, launch, and adoption. Working with Engineering, Design, Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Support, you will identify important customer problems, decide where to invest, and turn validated opportunities into products customers use.
This role is a strong fit for a product manager with technical domain experience or someone moving into product management from platform engineering, DevOps, solutions engineering, technical product ownership, or a similar role.
You need hands-on production experience with either Kubernetes or Ansible. Expertise in both is not required, but you should understand core infrastructure-as-code workflows and how they relate to your area.
Speak regularly with platform engineers, DevOps teams, infrastructure leaders, prospects, and customers.
Study production workflows to understand problems involving governance, coordination, visibility, reliability, and adoption.
Combine customer interviews with product usage, support cases, commercial feedback, and market research to identify the problems worth solving.
Define product requirements, success measures, and clear recommendations using tools such as 5 Questions, PR/FAQs, specifications, and decision records.
Prioritize work based on customer value, strategic fit, effort, risk, and potential learning.
Work with Design to explore, prototype, validate, and refine solutions.
Partner with the Engineering Manager on scope and trade-offs while Engineering leads architecture and technical execution.
Work with the Director of New Product Development on product direction, major investment decisions, and the path to market.
Coordinate launch readiness with Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Support.
Review adoption and customer feedback after release, then decide whether to improve, expand, or stop the work.
Build and apply working knowledge of Spacelift, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, policy, cloud infrastructure, and our execution engine, including how your product area connects with existing IaC workflows.
Product management experience or relevant experience in platform engineering, DevOps, solutions engineering, technical support, product analysis, or technical product ownership.
Hands-on production experience with one of the following:
Kubernetes: Argo CD, Flux, Helm, operators, cluster management, or application delivery.
Ansible: AWX or Automation Controller, inventories, job templates, execution environments, or automation workflows.
The ability to explain how these tools work and where teams encounter operational or organizational challenges.
Working familiarity with Terraform or OpenTofu and core IaC workflows, including Git-based changes, plan and apply, state, policy, and drift.
Experience identifying user problems, synthesizing qualitative and quantitative evidence, and turning findings into clear product decisions.
Strong written communication and the ability to work directly with engineers and technical customers.
Good judgment, curiosity, and a willingness to change direction when the evidence supports it.
Strong written and spoken English (B2 or above).
Based in Europe.
Experience with both Kubernetes and Ansible.
Experience with cloud infrastructure, OPA/Rego, CI/CD, RBAC, audit systems, or internal developer platforms.
Experience in B2B SaaS or developer tools.
Familiarity with Working Backwards, 5 Questions, or another evidence-led product practice.
Experience using SQL, product analytics, or AI tools for research and analysis.
