Procurement Analyst, Technology & Operations

About the role:

We're looking for a Procurement Analyst on our Technology & Operations team to help 8am buy smart across software, hardware, SaaS, and IT services. Reporting to the Director, Procure-to-Pay, you'll blend category sourcing work (RFx, vendor evaluations, negotiations) with the day-to-day procurement operations (purchase orders, vendor relationships, contract admin) that keep the function moving. You'll partner with IT, Finance, and Legal, dig into spend to find savings, and bring AI into the workflow to cut manual work.

What you'll do:

• Support category strategies and sourcing plans for technology and IT spend across software, hardware, SaaS, and services.
• Run RFx processes, vendor evaluations, and contract negotiations for IT spend.
• Process purchase orders and keep approvals moving in line with policy.
• Handle day-to-day vendor relationships, from inquiries and open items to timely invoice payments.
• Review and challenge requisitions to keep requests compliant and clear.
• Analyze spend and market trends to find savings and reduce supplier risk.
• Support the contract lifecycle, including renewals, license optimization, and SLA monitoring.
• Use AI tools to speed up spend analysis, RFx documentation, contract review, and reporting.

About you:

• 4+ years in procurement, sourcing, or vendor operations, ideally across both tech category sourcing and tactical operations.
• Experience running RFx processes, contract negotiations, and vendor evaluations for IT or technology spend.
• Working knowledge of IT concepts like cloud infrastructure, software licensing, SaaS models, and IT service agreements.
• Strong attention to detail across multiple procurement workflows at once.
• Proficiency with procurement or ERP systems (Workday preferred).
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, comfortable working across teams and independently in a remote setting.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools to automate or optimize your workflows.
• Bonus: Bachelor's in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience, and sourcing experience in a mid-to-large organization.
  
• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve workflows, enhance decision-making, or drive innovation.
