A Day in the Life

As the Senior Prin IT Developer – Marketing Insights, you will be responsible for building and supporting the technical foundation for marketing insights, including data integrations, architecture, and reporting solutions. You will execute hands-on work on our data platforms to deliver scalable dashboards and measurement capabilities.
This role partners with global marketing teams to integrate and model data from systems such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Intelligence, Salesforce Data 360, and Snowflake, ensuring data quality, performance, and consistency across analytics solutions.


• Design, build, and maintain customer data models and activation datasets within Salesforce Data Cloud to support segmentation, analytics, and downstream reporting and dashboarding use cases.
• Collaborate closely with global marketing and customer experience teams to translate business requirements into scalable data integrations, analytics architectures, and reporting solutions.
• Provide hands on technical leadership across the full development lifecycle, including solution architecture, data modeling, SQL development, dashboard creation, deployment, and production support.
• Support global marketing initiatives by ensuring reliable data pipelines, troubleshooting data quality and performance issues, and continuously optimizing analytics and reporting solutions.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for evaluating and designing, developing or modifying programs for internal functional areas including finance, human resources, and marketing.

  • Analyze existing programs and/or formulate logic for new systems.

  • Develop system design documentation (including GUI design, if required), perform coding, and test/debug programs.

  • Create ad hoc or bolt-on programs for integrations or functional business teams as needed.

  • Develop conversion and system implementation plans.

  • Prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation.

  • Recommend changes in development, maintenance, and system standards.

  • Train users in system enhancements and modifications.

  • Provide patch and software upgrades to existing systems as required.

  • Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation for program support.

  • Analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.

  • Works closely with functional users to enhance and maintain programs.

Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires mastery of a specialty area and full knowledge of industry practices, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have broad knowledge of project management. Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
