Payroll Support Specialist

Doubtless North America is hiring for a Payroll Support Specialist, a new role within our growing Payroll team.

Position Summary

The Payroll Support Specialist provides administrative, reporting, and operational support to the Payroll team. This role is responsible for maintaining payroll documentation, preparing audit and reporting materials, validating payroll-related data, and supporting service requests to help ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

What You'll Do

Support Payroll Operations

• Maintain payroll documentation, processing workpapers, audit files, and electronic records across shared platforms.
• Prepare payroll templates, reporting tools, processing trackers, and recurring support materials used throughout the payroll cycle.

Ensure Data Accuracy

• Perform payroll-related data entry and review employee payroll information for completeness and accuracy.
• Identify discrepancies involving employee records, timekeeping, leave administration, and payroll coding, escalating issues as needed.

Assist with Audits & Compliance

• Conduct routine timecard and payroll audits, documenting exceptions and preparing supporting analysis for review.
• Compile audit logs, exception reports, and payroll validation documentation to support compliance and payroll accuracy.

Manage Reporting & Administration

• Generate recurring payroll reports, data extracts, and reporting packages for stakeholders and internal team members.
• Maintain payroll dashboards, trackers, and reporting resources that support payroll operations and decision-making.

Deliver Employee & Team Support

• Monitor payroll support channels and route employee inquiries to the appropriate resources.
• Assist with ticket management, service request tracking, and payroll issue resolution while maintaining a high level of customer service.

What You' Bring

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree or coursework in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Experience

• 0-2 years of experience in payroll, administrative support, customer service, accounting, human resources, or a related function.
• Experience with data entry, reporting tools, or business systems preferred.
• Internship, co-op, or payroll support experience is a plus.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee information appropriately.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with a willingness to support employees and business partners.
• Ability to learn new systems, processes, and technologies quickly.

Compensation

Pay range: $22.45 – $26.93 per hour. This is the range we reasonably expect to pay at hire. Placement within the range depends on job-related factors such as experience, skills, and certifications.

This position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime.
This position is not eligible for additional incentive pay.
