We are looking for a seasoned Quickbooks professional who will be responsible for maintaining the financial transactions of our clients. This person will be detailed/task-oriented while also having a fun sense of humor! This professional must have the ability and desire to have confident & positive interactions with the client. The Sr. Bookkeeper should have an intermediate to advanced working knowledge of third-party tools/apps like Gusto (or other Payroll systems). Intermediate Excel skills are also required. This person will be responsible for reconciling bank and credit card accounts. Responsibilities: • Keep QBO bank feeds up to date, attaching source documentation where necessary. • Create & maintain rules and recurring transactions in Quickbooks. • Evaluate, create, and post journal entries for accounts such as Prepaid Expenses, Fixed Assets, Debt/Loans, and Payroll. • Receive, organize, and enter bills from Vendors. • Invoice customers on behalf of our client(s) where required. • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and support schedules. • Review client financial statements on a monthly/quarterly basis to ensure all reconciliations are completed, data is complete & accurate. • Meet designated due dates for the client's financial close. • Confidently generate accurate Payroll Journal Entries utilizing Payroll Registers from Gusto or other related apps. • Prepare and file Sales Tax returns on behalf of client(s) on a timely basis. Qualifications: • 5-7 years of experience in US GAAP bookkeeping/accounting • Familiarity with accounting software systems (Quickbooks) • Appropriate technical skills to understand the underlying principles of tasks • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Apps • Experience in a variety of industries • Excellent communications skills • Previous client accounting service experience is preferred • Must be an organized team player • Attentive to client support • Willing to learn new things and manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Must be comfortable using cloud-based systems • Must possess the ability to maintain confidentiality as the role will be exposed to sensitive information • Candidates must be in the US • Candidates must have their own computer with a camera for meetings • Candidates must be able to work in a professional/quiet setting Compensation: $20 - $25 hourly
