Microsoft Presales Solution Architect (remote)

Position Overview:

The Microsoft Presales Solution Architect is passionate about uncovering a client's business problems and architecting solutions leveraging various public cloud technologies, matching the appropriate technology to help solve the identified problem(s). The Solution Architect works closely with the Account Executives and Business Development Managers from the initial engagement with a customer to the final stage of closing the sale. The individual in this role must be highly organized, self-motivated and have excellent communication skills working with C-level executives, technical engineers and other business stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have deep technical background in traditional Microsoft IT, Microsoft Cloud Productivity Solutions (Modern Workplace M365) and Hybrid infrastructures.

Position Responsibilities:

• Work with AEs and BDMs to conduct technical sales calls with customers around Microsoft Cloud technologies
• Gather requirements and architect technical solutions in order to meet the customer's business need(s)
• Create customer facing demos/POCs and presentations around designed solution
• Develop accurate estimates/BOMs, SOWs and occasional RFx responses
• Stay up to date with latest Microsoft cloud technologies and acquire necessary technical certifications
• Attend and participate in various customer webinars and events

Position Requirements:

• Technical presales experience or ability to transition from a client facing consultant role
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex problems to C-Level executives in layman's terms
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage your own time efficiently
• Ability to effectively work remotely as an individual and collaborate with your team, customer and peers
• Effectively use critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively scope professional services and level of effort for consulting opportunities

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a technical presales role OR the ability to demonstrate transitioning from a technical delivery role
• Combined minimum 10 years architecting and/or delivering various technical Microsoft solutions
• 1 or more Microsoft Certifications: MCSE, MCSA, MCP or Role Based certification(s) relating to Microsoft's Modern Workplace
• Extensive knowledge around how various IT technologies complement each other within an enterprise environment
• Extensive experience with various migrations from an on-premises environment to Microsoft Cloud and tenant to tenant (Exchange, O365, M365, Fileshare, OnDrive, SharePoint, etc) and the ability to scope those efforts effectively
• Experienced with Microsoft endpoint management technologies (Intune)
• Strong in Active Directory, Azure AD / Entra ID, hybrid environments ans Domain Migrations
• Microsoft licensing knowledge is a plus (EA, CSP, OV and MPSA)
• MS SQL Server experience is a plus
