Role Overview
Venture for Canada is looking for a relationship-driven revenue development professional to grow and diversify our major gifts portfolio across corporate partnerships, foundations, and individual donors. This is a role for someone who thrives on building things from the ground up: you'll develop your own pipeline of prospective partners and donors, craft compelling funding propositions that showcase Venture for Canada's programs and impact, and lead the full arc of a relationship from first outreach through proposal, ask, and stewardship. You'll bring both classic fundraising instincts and a business development mindset, moving comfortably between cultivating a major donor, pitching a corporate sponsor, and managing renewals with existing partners.
Day to day, you'll split your time between external relationship-building and internal coordination: researching prospects, preparing proposals and decks, planning partner activations, and briefing leadership ahead of donor meetings, all while working closely with Programs, Marketing, Community, and Finance to line up what's needed to deliver on commitments.
Success in this role means disciplined pipeline management as much as it means charisma in the room. You'll keep CRM records accurate, track progress against revenue targets, and provide forecasting that supports organizational planning, while also being the person who can make a confident, compelling case for support in the boardroom or across the table from a major donor. If you're entrepreneurial, organized, and energized by turning relationships into revenue, this role gives you real ownership over how that happens.
