Duties
Inductions
• Be actively involved in and support the recruitment, sign-up, induction and initial assessments and Skills Scans of learners.
• When necessary, work closely with recruiters to support apprentice interviews.
Coaching, teaching, and supporting End Point Assessments
• Deliver outstanding Training, Learning and Assessment through creative methods.
• Liaise with employers and apprentices to develop learning and delivery plans that meet their needs and support timely achievement.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of formative assessment of learners to ensure that learning meets individual and employer’s needs.
• Support learners to undertake mock assessments to prepare for end-point assessment, and practical assessments, providing the relevant paperwork and record keeping that complies with awarding organisation and end-point assessment requirements.
• Where applicable, monitor progress on qualifications specified by the new Standards.
• Setup and run workshops as required, working closely with Head of Onboarding and Faculty Head
• Coaching and training only Caseload: 40-45 learners excluding any BILs and past planned end date learners.
Support, Sessions and Reviews
• Safeguarding and maintaining a safe learning environment, supporting learners in understanding how to keep themselves, and others, safe and notifying management of any risks. Promote fundamental British values.
• Identify, monitor and support additional learning needs and document each case.
• Support learners to enhance their soft skills and work with employers and E-Careers to assist in off-the-job training within the workplace.
• Support learners to engage and develop maths and English skills.
• Undertake effective and timely progress reviews and, set SMART targets with employers and learners to monitor progress and support development and timely achievement.
• Liaise with learner support functions, external agencies and parents/carers to ensure that learners make good or better progress.
Administration
• Undertake relevant administration of delivery and marketing materials.
• Comply with agreed learner retention, attendance and success measure processes.
• Design, develop and deliver knowledge base study and share good practice and resources.
• Complete risk assessment of own caseload and report findings to Director of Apprenticeship Delivery to place timely interventions
• Build and maintain programmes on LMS with the support of the Head of Faculty.
Business development
• Participate when required in sharing information and support in tendering proposals for the relevant subject area.
• Support recruitment and employer events e.g. exhibitions, and new course promotions.
• Support promotion for our courses, supporting our growth plans.
Supporting Functional Skills
• FS related – will report to Functional skills Lead
• Support Leadership and management learners with Functional skills – end to end journey including inductions.
• Prepare learners for FS exams.
Continuous Professional Development
• Participate in, and drive your own, development activity including achievement of relevant teaching qualifications and/or work towards an IQA qualification as required.
General Responsibilities
• To identify personal and professional staff development needs to meet the Our Strategic Plan.
• To ensure continuous professional development (CPD) requirements as specified by us and that may be identified during Our processes, for example, Appraisal.
• To participate in our Appraisal Scheme.
• To maintain awareness of the requirements of our Health and Safety Policy and to be responsible for ensuring that the duties and responsibilities detailed in our Health and Safety Policy are adhered to and carried out.
• To read and apply Our Safeguarding and Prevent procedures and to ensure that the duties and responsibilities detailed in our Safeguarding Policy and Prevent Duty Policy are adhered to and carried out.
• To read our Single Equality Scheme and to act in accordance with statutory obligations under the equality duties and in compliance with current Equality and Diversity legislation.
• To ensure adherence to the Our Data Protection Policy.
• To work to our quality standards and systems within the context of our quality systems.
• To undertake such other duties and responsibilities as are appropriate to this level of the post.
Requirements
• Takes responsibility to follow Safeguarding Protocols and following Policy
• Takes responsibility to collaborate with FS tutor/lead, monitors FS progress and embeds FS in the training.
