About the Client:

      The client is a growing consumer products company that manufactures and distributes protein snack products primarily to golf courses across the United States. Their business combines wholesale partnerships with an expanding direct to consumer presence, and they are actively building a scalable sales process to support future growth into additional markets such as golf simulators, tournaments, corporate offices, and other retail opportunities. They are looking for someone who wants to grow alongside the business and take on additional responsibilities as the company expands.


About the Role:

      The client is seeking a proactive and detail oriented Lead Generation Specialist to support the early stages of their business development process. This role is focused on conducting outbound calls to identify key decision makers at golf courses and maintaining accurate prospect information. Rather than selling products, the successful candidate will gather high quality contact information that enables the client's sales team to build relationships and close deals. Over time, this position is expected to evolve into broader business development and customer support responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prospect Research and Contact Discovery
    • Make outbound calls to golf courses and other target businesses across the United States
    • Identify the correct decision maker responsible for food and beverage purchasing or snack inventory.
    • Navigate conversations with front desk staff, managers, and other employees to obtain accurate contact information.
    • Gather names, email addresses, phone numbers, work schedules, and any relevant notes about decision makers.
  • Data Management
    • Accurately update spreadsheets and CRM systems with prospect information.
    • Maintain organized and reliable records for thousands of target accounts.
    • Ensure all collected information is complete and up to date.
  • Business Development Support
    • Assist with maintaining and expanding prospect databases.
    • Support future outbound email campaigns by personalizing communication when needed.
    • Follow up with existing prospects or customers regarding inventory levels, reorder opportunities, or next steps as assigned.
    • Adapt to evolving business development initiatives as the company grows.

Qualifications & Skills; Must have: 
  • Previous experience in lead generation, appointment setting, outbound calling, virtual assistance, customer service, or a similar role.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Strong phone etiquette with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls.
  • Strong internet research and information gathering skills.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar spreadsheet tools.
  • High attention to detail with accurate data entry skills.
  • Comfortable learning new software and navigating multiple systems simultaneously.

Preferred:
  • Experience supporting sales or business development teams.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms.
  • Experience working with U.S. based businesses or customers.
  • Exposure to the golf industry, hospitality industry, or food and beverage businesses.
  • Experience personalizing outreach emails or supporting sales follow up activities.
