This role partners closely with Operations, Recruiting, Human Resources, Finance, and field leadership to help the organization make informed staffing and labor decisions. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, analyzing information, identifying trends, and translating data into actionable business recommendations. Successful candidates may come from either an analytical background looking to expand their operational knowledge or an operational background looking to further develop their analytical skillset. The Labor Planning Analyst will work closely with leaders across the organization to evaluate staffing needs, scheduling opportunities, labor trends, and workforce performance while helping drive informed business decisions. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Analyze labor, staffing, scheduling, and workforce data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities. Support labor forecasting and workforce planning efforts across multiple operational business units. Partner with Operations, Recruiting, Human Resources, and Finance to align staffing needs with business demand. Monitor approved staffing levels and support workforce planning recommendations. Evaluate scheduling effectiveness and identify opportunities to improve labor utilization and workforce efficiency. Create recurring and ad hoc reports to support leadership decision-making. Assist in the development and maintenance of labor KPIs, workforce analytics, and reporting tools. Review workforce trends including staffing levels, turnover, overtime utilization, compensation data, and scheduling performance. Translate complex or large data sets into clear findings and recommendations for business leaders. Work directly with site leadership to understand operational challenges and identify staffing or scheduling solutions. Present findings and recommendations to various levels of leadership, including General Managers, Regional Leaders, and Vice Presidents. Support process improvement initiatives related to labor planning, staffing, scheduling, and workforce management. Collaborate across multiple departments to drive business outcomes and support operational goals. Qualifications Required Experience with Business Analytics, Operations, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, formulas, and lookup functions. Experience using data to support business decisions or solve operational problems. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to organize, interpret, and prioritize multiple sources of information. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Preferred Experience in operations, workforce planning, business analytics, operations management, HR, recruiting, logistics, transportation, warehousing, or related business functions. Experience creating reports, dashboards, or business analyses. Experience working in multi-site or field-based organizations. Exposure to workforce planning, labor analysis, scheduling, or staffing-related functions. Experience with Paycom, Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
