IT Operations Domain Director

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an IT Operations Domain Director to join the Lengrand North & Central America (LNCA) Corporate Team remotely. Reporting directly to the Head of IT Operations, the IT Operations Domain Director is responsible for the operational performance, service quality, financial management, and continuous improvement of Infrastructure services across LNCA, ensuring alignment between business expectations, operational excellence, cybersecurity requirements and Group IT standards.

The Domain Director acts as the primary Infrastructure representative for the region and serves as the key interface between regional application IT teams, Global Infrastructure teams, service providers, and operational delivery teams. The role is responsible for promoting, communicating, and ensuring adoption of Group Infrastructure standards and operating models across all LNCA entities.

The position combines service ownership, vendor management, operational leadership, financial accountability, and transformation management. The IT Operations Domain Director is expected to improve service efficiency, increase regional autonomy, drive automation, and ensure reliable service delivery across all LNCA entities while supporting Legrand's global IT strategy with an opportunity to influence and shape infrastructure strategy. 
 

Responsibilities

What Will You Do?

• Serve as the primary Infrastructure partner for LNCA business leaders, aligning service roadmaps, investments, and operational capabilities with business priorities.
• Lead and coordinate Service Delivery Managers (manager of a specific sector like network) to ensure consistent service delivery, operational governance and alignment with regional business priorities.
• Accountable for the performance, governance, financial efficiency and evolution of Infrastructure services delivered across LNCA.
• Ensure regional infrastructure services align with Group standards, security requirements, and operating models while driving stakeholder adoption and compliance.
• Manage service providers, managed services contracts, and local vendors. 
• Define and monitor KPIs, SLAs, customer satisfaction, and service improvement plans. 
• Ensure proper execution of Incident, Problem, Change, Asset, and Capacity Management processes. 
• Act as escalation manager for critical incidents affecting the region. 
• Support regional business units and site leadership teams by aligning IT services with business priorities. 
• Coordinate major infrastructure programs impacting the Americas region, including Cloud Transformation, Modern Workplace, Cybersecurity remediation, Network modernization, and operational efficiency initiatives. 
• Ensure compliance with Group standards, cybersecurity policies, audit requirements, and regulatory obligations. 
• Improve operational efficiency through process simplification, automation, and productivity initiatives.
• Develop team capabilities and increase operational maturity across the region.
   

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in information technology, computer science, engineering, business administration or equivalent experience.
   

Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in IT service delivery or operational management.
• Strong background in vendor and contract management.
• Expertise in budgeting, capacity planning and service governance.
• Familiarity with ITIL and cross-functional service integration.
• Experience operating within complex technology ecosystems including enterprise ITSM platforms, infrastructure monitoring tools, budgeting and contract management systems, Microsoft 365 and cloud platforms such as Azure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are an asset.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, CIS Controls) and risk management principles.
• Leverage operational metrics, KPIs, financial indicators, and service analytics to support data-driven prioritization and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of IT governance, compliance frameworks, and enterprise operating models.
• Leadership and Team Empowerment: ability to motivate and develop geographically distributed teams, leading by influence and trust.
• Cross-Functional Communication: excellent interpersonal skills to navigate technical, operational and business layers, and synthesize complex information for different audiences.
• Ability to manage expectations of stakeholders including senior leadership, business representatives and external vendors across regions.
• Cultural Intelligence: comfortable operating in a multicultural, multi-time-zone environment.
• Change Enablement drives continuous improvement, transformation initiatives, automation, agile ways of working and cloud shifts.

• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience partnering across business, IT, vendor, and audit functions.
