Job Description

In recent years, in response to increasing concern for sustainability and animal welfare, over 2,000 companies worldwide and over 70 leading food brands in Asia have pledged to use cage-free eggs in their operations, including Burger King, Nestle, Danone, and many others. Cage-free eggs are far more humane for animals, are much higher in food safety for consumers, and have become an important part of many companies' corporate sustainability pledges.

As a Sustainable Food Supply Chain Engagement Manager, you will:

• Build relationships and collaborate with leading egg producers to assist them in the transition to sustainable farming practices such as cage-free egg production in their facilities.
• Help educate more farms on the sustainability, animal welfare, and economic benefits of cage-free egg production. Your duties will involve providing industry updates, facilitating partnerships, and offering resources to assist farms in understanding and advancing this initiative.
• Conduct online research, draft and send emails, make phone calls, and arrange visits and meetings with relevant stakeholders to attract and engage new farms

You’ll work from home and hours are highly flexible. You’ll have colleagues in Asia, Europe, and the US who will work with and support you. You’ll stay in close touch with them through calls, email, and messages. Through this role, you will gain hands-on experience working with leading food suppliers on sustainable farming and have opportunities for career advancement to managerial or other positions.

Qualifications

We encourage individuals from all backgrounds to apply. While experience in the poultry or agricultural industry is beneficial, prior involvement in sales, negotiation, business development, or other client-focused or advocacy-oriented roles is highly preferred. Ideal candidates should possess the following traits and skills:

• At least two years of sales or sales-related experience (e.g., B2B Sales, Business Development, Account Management, Partnerships, Consulting, or a similar client-facing role).
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to persuade and engage others;
• Ability to work highly independently, with a very strong work ethic;
• Resiliency - when you are ignored or brushed off, it does not discourage you but rather motivates you to try harder;
• Personal interest in sustainability, animal welfare, or food safety;
• Fluent in Telugu and basic to advanced English language ability. Tamil and/or Hindi language skills are also helpful. Note: we value hands-on experience and core capabilities over perfect English proficiency
