Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Legal Consultations & Client Advocacy
Conduct comprehensive legal consultations across all immigration practice areas handled by the Firm.
Evaluate prospective client eligibility through detailed legal analysis and client interviews.
Identify all available immigration pathways based upon applicable statutes, regulations, and agency guidance.
Explain immigration processes, expected timelines, filing requirements, government procedures, risks, benefits, and legal expectations.
Develop preliminary legal strategies tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
Build trusting attorney-client relationships through empathy, professionalism, and exceptional communication.
Educate prospective clients regarding realistic legal expectations while helping them understand available legal options.
Maintain the highest standards of attorney ethics, confidentiality, and professional responsibility.
Ensure all legal advice complies with applicable Rules of Professional Conduct.
Client Experience & Consultation Excellence
Deliver an exceptional consultation experience that reflects the Firm's commitment to client service.
Build confidence in the Firm's legal expertise through thoughtful legal analysis and compassionate advocacy.
Answer client questions regarding immigration procedures and legal strategy.
Address concerns, objections, and uncertainties through education rather than sales tactics.
Maintain complete and accurate consultation documentation within the Firm's case management platform.
Coordinate seamless transitions from consultation to legal onboarding following execution of representation agreements.
Collaborate closely with Intake Specialists, Client Experience teams, and Legal Operations to ensure efficient onboarding.
Collaboration & Operational Excellence
Partner with Managing Attorneys regarding complex legal issues and consultation strategy.
Participate in attorney education, legal updates, and consultation excellence training.
Share best practices to improve consultation quality and client satisfaction.
Assist leadership in identifying consultation trends, client concerns, and opportunities for operational improvement.
Maintain consultation metrics and documentation in accordance with departmental standards.
Foster a collaborative, mission-driven, client-centered work environment.
Required Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active Bar License in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
Strong knowledge of United States immigration law.
Excellent legal analysis and issue-spotting abilities.
Exceptional verbal communication and active listening skills.
Ability to build rapport with prospective clients.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
High degree of professionalism and emotional intelligence.
Ability to work independently within a fully remote environment.
Commitment to ethical legal practice and exceptional client service.
Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) or more years of immigration law experience.
Experience conducting legal consultations.
Experience evaluating eligibility across multiple immigration practice areas.
Experience working within a high-volume immigration law practice.
Demonstrated success helping prospective clients understand complex immigration matters.
Bilingual English and Spanish strongly preferred.
Experience utilizing Litify, Salesforce, or comparable legal CRM platforms.
Experience collaborating with intake or client experience teams.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Consultation Quality: Maintain a consultation satisfaction rating of 90% or greater.
Legal Recommendation Accuracy: Ensure legal recommendations consistently align with immigration law, Firm standards, and professional responsibility obligations.
Consultation Documentation: Complete 100% of consultation notes and legal recommendations within established timelines.
Client Responsiveness: Respond to prospective client communications within one business day whenever reasonably possible.
Consultation Attendance: Maintain consultation attendance metrics consistent with departmental expectations.
Client Conversion: Maintain consultation-to-retained-client conversion rates aligned with Firm performance goals while adhering to all applicable ethical standards.
Collaboration: Complete 95% or greater of required coordination and onboarding activities within departmental timelines.
Professional Development: Complete all required continuing legal education while actively participating in Firm-sponsored immigration law and consultation excellence training.
Work Environment & Schedule
Full-Time, Exempt Position.
This position generally follows standard business hours while maintaining professional flexibility to accommodate court schedules, detention visits, emergency hearings, and client needs.
Position based in Texas.
Regular travel throughout Texas is required for Immigration Court appearances, detention facility visits, client meetings, legal clinics, and firm-sponsored events.
Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Salary & Benefits
Salary Range: $88,000 – $260,000
This requisition may be filled at one of several Attorney career levels (Attorney I–V), depending on the selected candidate's education, licensure, post-bar experience, demonstrated legal expertise, litigation capabilities, leadership experience, and overall qualifications.
Placement within the applicable salary band is determined in accordance with the Firm's Attorney Staffing & Advancement Policy. Salary progression within each band is based on sustained performance, competency development, organizational contribution, client outcomes, and business needs.

Physical Demands
The team member is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, communicate, and use their hands to perform work-related tasks.
The position may require extended periods of computer use, legal research, document review, client communication, courtroom preparation, and travel.
Occasional lifting of files, exhibits, records, and office materials weighing up to 10 pounds may be required.
The attorney must be able to travel by vehicle or air throughout Texas and access immigration courts, detention facilities, government offices, client meeting locations, and firm facilities as required.
