We are looking for a Head of Learning Impact and Strategy to join our team and lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive learning vision and strategy. As the driving force behind EP's content product and educational impact, you will lead our team to define and develop engaging online learning materials, stay informed about global education trends, and foster innovation in learning methodologies.You will be an expert in learning science and will apply this lens to everything we do.

This role is based in Sydney, Australia. If you are currently based outside of Australia, we are still interested in talking with you about this role. We will offer relocation support to Australia for the successful applicant.

What you will do:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive global learning vision and strategy for EP's online content products and learning impact, including the facilitation of clear strategic objectives and key results.
  • Lead a team of curriculum specialists and educational experts to define our model for engaging and globally relevant learning and assessment materials including roadmap priorities for content development, ensuring alignment with our target markets, curriculum standards and diverse learning frameworks.
  • Build a culture that values the importance of content design in our product and establish a design practice that maximises learning impact
  • Understand commercial drivers and market competition and make decisions that maximise value for EP and our customers.
  • Be a thought leader by staying informed about global education trends, curriculum frameworks and government guidelines.
  • Build ongoing connections with users: students, teachers, school leaders, and parents.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of both qualitative and quantitative insights into our product, content and user needs.
  • Be the voice of EP's educational impact, providing thought leadership and evangelism on how EP utilises the latest in learning science best practises and aligns to pedagogical frameworks.
  • Build and lead a team of learning and curriculum specialists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities
  • Establish and maintain a robust quality assurance model for learning materials, including ongoing assessment and research to enhance the quality standard

About you:

  • Senior level experience in a K-12 edtech company, leading large scale content strategy, roadmap and delivery
  • Demonstrated commercial responsibility in an edtech business and track record of product success
  • Deep knowledge and appropriate credentials in learning science and research
  • Highly skilled in market analysis and discovery techniques to inform product development
  • Deep understanding of education trends, curriculum frameworks, including experience with educational pedagogy and curriculum models in Canada and/or North America. You likely come from an academic background and have already made a move into the tech world.
  • Experience in leading senior strategy teams, setting a clear direction and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate educational impact and thought leadership.
