📣 About the role 

With our current Head of Accounting going into a 1.5 year break, we need someone to take over!

As Head of Accounting, you will be responsible for structuring, managing, monitoring and improving the Group's administrative and financial processes, from accounting to financial reporting, for our 3 legal entities, along with managing the team in place.

We are looking for someone under a contractor format. We are open to a 4 days worked/week or full time (5 days/week) format.

You’ll be reporting to and working closely with our CFO Anne-Gaelle Delmond to produce reliable financial data for our reporting and modeling !

🧑‍💻 As our Head of Accounting at Thynk, you will: 

Accounting and analytics

• Manage the accounting team (2 people)

• Structure, manage and bullet proof end to end accounting processes, from invoices (customer/supplier) to books entries to cash flow monitoring

• Ensure up-to-date accounting with external partners (data entry / lettering / bank reconciliations)

• Ensure 100% accuracy of analytical accounting and overall landings !

Administrative and financial reporting

• Produce monthly financial reports (including cut-offs/provisions in collaboration with other teams and CFO)

• Analyse and implement control points to ensure reliable reporting/closings

• Define and roll out operational KPIs and dashboard using AI

• Provide ad-hoc support for budget monitoring

Optimization of accounting tools/processes

• Lead, deploy and monitor continuous improvement of internal finance or transversal processes (expense validation, client invoices flows, key supplier control points, etc.)

• Select, implement and monitor tool requirements / optimizations or tech automations for the Finance department

• Conduct analysis and/or ad-hoc project management on priority bottlenecks

Legal-administrative support - compliance & ad-hoc project management

• Coordinate and manage external stakeholders (CAC / EC / Banks / advisors)

• Lead and secure the closing of each entity, including intercos

• Manage legal, administrative and tax obligations

• Lead ESOP plans & Cap table administration

• Ad-hoc support for Group growth (Financing, International, M&A, Board decks, etc.)

🍭 About you

You will be a great fit if

• You have >5 years of experience in accounting in a SMB or accounting firm

• A good knowledge of legal, accounting and financial aspects (especially for our Belgian parent company and French subsidiary)

• You are process-driven and tool-oriented

• You’re fluent in English

• You are seeking a 4 days per week job!
