trafficking through education, cultural awareness, strategic advocacy, and survivorcentered
Emergency Transitional Services.
Role Overview
The Fundraising & Development Lead helps strengthen Quest2Freedom’s fundraising
strategy, systems, and relationships with donors, funders, sponsors, and community
partners.
Areas of focus may include grant prospecting and writing, funding research, narrative
and impact writing, fundraising campaigns and events, donor stewardship and reporting,
grant compliance, and funding partnership development.
This is a capacity-building role. The Lead will focus on agreed-upon priorities and is not
expected to actively manage every fundraising area simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate fundraising priorities, goals, timelines, workflows, and supporting documentation.
- Identify and evaluate funding opportunities based on eligibility, mission alignment, timing, and organizational capacity.
- Develop and maintain grant calendars, funding research, prospect pipelines, and donor follow-up systems.
- Lead or coordinate grant research, proposal development, supporting materials, and submission timelines, collaborating with grant writers or other contributors when available.
- Develop accurate organizational narratives, case statements, impact materials, and funding requests in collaboration with Programs and leadership.

- Support donor engagement, stewardship, retention, acknowledgments, and reporting.
- Help cultivate corporate sponsors, foundations, and other mission-aligned funding partners.
- Coordinate fundraising campaigns and events while providing direction to interns and event volunteers.
- Track fundraising results, donor activity, grant progress, reporting obligations, and relevant performance indicators.
- Coordinate with Programs, Finance, Operations, and Marketing to support grant compliance, impact reporting, campaigns, and ethical fundraising practices.

Qualifications
- Experience in nonprofit fundraising, grants, donor relations, sponsorships, fundraising events, partnership development, or related work.
- Strong writing, research, communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
- Ability to translate organizational programs and outcomes into clear and compelling funding narratives.
- Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and support a remote team of interns and volunteers.
- Experience with donor databases, grant tracking, impact reporting, or fundraising campaigns is preferred.
- Demonstrated discretion when handling confidential donor, funder, financial, or personally identifiable information.
- Ability to dedicate 12–18 hours per month and commitment to Quest2Freedom’s mission.
