Freelance Marketing Assistant (all genders)

We are looking for ongoing freelance support with the everyday work in our marketing team. This is a hands-on execution role. We set the direction, you get things done.
How the work reaches you varies. Sometimes there is a proper brief with everything in it. Sometimes there are two sentences and a link. Either way, we expect you to get moving, work out what is missing, and come back with the questions that need answering. If something in a brief does not add up, we would rather hear it from you than see it go live.
We work with AI throughout. Our reporting is automated, our first drafts come out of AI tools, and much of the routine work is either already automated or waiting for someone to automate it. On most tasks, the first question is how much of it a machine can do. We expect that question to be second nature to you, and we expect you to be quick at spotting when the machine got it wrong.

Tasks

A typical week: two landing pages need new text and images, a set of ads needs to go live, an email campaign needs to be built and sent, contacts in the CRM need cleaning up, last month's numbers need to be checked and summarised for a meeting, and a presentation needs slides that match our template.

• Update existing landing pages in our CMS and publish new ones from templates.
• Upload ads and keep campaigns running in Google, LinkedIn and Meta. We decide on budgets, targeting and messaging.
• Build and send email campaigns and newsletters: put them together, check links and rendering, schedule them, and report what came back.
• Work in our CRM: import and clean up contact lists, maintain fields and tags, build segments, keep the data in order.
• Check what our automated reports produce, notice when a number looks wrong, and turn the output into something a person can read in a minute.
• Draft copy for pages, ads and emails with AI, then cut it down to something we can publish.
• Produce ad creatives, social posts, one-pagers and slides using AI image tools together with our templates and brand assets.
• Research topics, competitors and markets, and bring back the short version.
• Spot the tasks you are doing by hand for the third time and find a way to automate them.
• Keep our tools tidy: naming, folders, access, small corrections.

Requirements

The more of these areas you have already worked in hands-on, the better. You do not need to be an expert in all of them, or in any single one. What matters more:

• You use AI tools every day and have a feel for what they are good at and where they fall apart. You can tell a usable draft from a confident-sounding wrong one.
• You work carefully. Links work, names are right, files are where they belong.
• You can teach yourself a new tool from AI, its help pages and some trying.
• You think along. When a brief is thin or something in it does not make sense, you notice, say so and work it out.
• You ask early and you ask in one go, rather than in five separate messages over two days.
• You finish things and tell us when they are done.
• We can rely on what you say. If something will take longer or did not work, we hear it from you.
• Fluent English. German is an advantage, as is experience with the German B2B market.
