FP&A Analyst

What do we need

Dotmatics is seeking a FP&A Analyst to join its growing Finance team and serve as the analytical engine for a fast-growing, acquisitive, mission driven SaaS business executing on a global growth strategy. In this critical role, you will drive all financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities across the company. Additionally, you will help deliver sound, data-driven business decisions by providing value-added analysis of financial and operating metrics. The ideal candidate has keen analytical and financial skills, excellent understanding of accounting principles, ability to collaborate cross-functionally, and is comfortable prioritizing multiple deliverables in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

In this role you will get to:

• Partner with cross-functional management/team to lead monthly reporting, quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. 
• Act as a financial advisor and gain insights into business partner’s key performance indicators (KPIs) and drivers; provide analysis and guidance to business functions to meet their OKRs
• Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to evaluate business performance, assess risk, and support decision-making. Conduct scenario analysis to evaluate the financial impact of various strategic initiatives and provide recommendations.
• Work with large and complex datasets to develop analytics that drive revenue, profitability and efficiency. 
• Proactively monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), business drivers and unit economics to highlight short and long-term risks and/or opportunities.
• Support financial decision-making process through the analysis of financial results, forecasts, variances, and trends, distilling and synthesizing key messages to business partners clearly and effectively.
• Identify new metrics to drive business performance relative strategic priorities while minimizing risk
• Challenge the status quo and current interpretations of data based on the results of advanced analytically based conclusions.
• Contribute to strategic projects including M&A, fundraising, and business initiatives.

We are looking for people who have a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field or equivalent experience. You will also have 5+ years of finance related experience in a corporate setting and the ability to articulate financial concepts. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable working with team members of all levels, You will be a highly motivated, self-aware, collaborative, responsive individual and you will have  natural curiosity

The key skills we are looking:

• Strong business acumen and understanding of the foundations of finance/accounting.
• Expert financial modeling experience and a willingness to dig into the details
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and G-suite.
• Ability to quickly learn new systems, including financial software applications. Prior experience with NetSuite, CRMs and/or enterprise planning (Adaptive, Anaplan, Hyperion) is a plus.
• Able to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders and tasks in parallel.

Nice to have: 

• Prior experience in either SaaS or with M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions)
