Job Description:

ThoughtFull is hiring a Finance & Operations Manager. 
This role owns the financial and operational backbone for ThoughtFull's two operating entities - ThoughtFull World Pte. Ltd. (Singapore) and ThoughtFull World Sdn. Bhd. (Malaysia). You will run the numbers, build the processes, and deal directly with auditors, tax authorities, legal counsel, and other stakeholders.  

IMPORTANT: Applicants must have prior hands-on experience managing Singapore and Malaysia accounting processes, including familiarity with local accounting practices, compliance requirements, and reporting standards. Candidates without relevant Singapore and Malaysia accounting experience will not be considered for this role.

What you will do: 

Performance

• Day-to-day bookkeeping, general ledger management, and monthly close across both entities
• AP and AR - timely vendor payments, customer invoicing, and collections
• Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts and investor pack (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow statement, variance commentary)
• Cashflow monitoring and forecasting - maintain bi-monthly visibility for group
• Manage banking relationships; oversee payment run approvals and controls
• End-to-end payroll for SG and MY — statutory deductions, payment runs, resolution of tax authority queries
• Statutory filings: income tax, SST (Malaysia), GST (Singapore), EPF, SOCSO, PCB
• Cross-border withholding tax advisory

People

• Annual audit coordination - prepare supporting schedules, liaise with external auditors
• Tax computation and annual compliance; work closely with external tax advisors, legal counsel, and company secretary.
• Partner with department heads on budgeting, cost control, and financial decisions that affect their teams
• Primary finance interface for the CEO

Product

• First-line commercial contract review

Process

• Maintain and improve financial systems to reduce manual processes
• Optimise working capital and flag liquidity risk early to the CEO
• Trend analysis and financial forecasting
• Build and maintain financial models
• Quarterly budgeting by function; track actuals vs. budget and provide variance commentary

Requirements

About you:

• Degree in Finance or Accounting; ACCA or equivalent preferred, not mandatory 
• 5+ years hands-on across accounting, FP&A, tax, audit, and payroll - across both MY and SG 
• Working knowledge of MFRS and SFRS, comfortable operating under both in parallel 
• MY and SG taxes: income tax, SST, GST, EPF, CPF, SOCSO, PCB, cross-border WHT 
• Can build a financial model from scratch and explain it to someone who isn't a finance person 
• Comfortable with first-line contract review; knows what to escalate to legal 
• Proficient in Xero or equivalent
• Note:
• Applicants must have hands-on Singapore and Malaysia accounting experience. Candidates without relevant MY & SG accounting experience will not be shortlisted.

Basic Salary Range: MYR6,400 - MYR10,000
