You will be part of an operations team responsible for delivering high-quality remarketing, inspection, and inventory validation services across dealership networks. In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your experience in automotive diagnostics, damage estimation, and customer relationship management. The ideal candidate will have experience in vehicle inspections, dealer customer service, or fleet field operations.

You Are:

  • Detail-Oriented. You meticulously inspect vehicles to identify cosmetic, structural, and mechanical conditions while ensuring zero errors in data entry.
  • Self-Motivated & Independent. You manage your daily travel schedule efficiently across assigned dealership territories with minimal direct supervision.
  • Strong Communicator. You communicate effectively and professionally with dealership personnel, commercial account managers, and internal teams.
  • Adaptable & Agile. You adjust quickly to daily schedule changes, weather conditions, and evolving customer priority requests in the field.
  • Problem Solver. You identify discrepancies between physical vehicle assets and documentation, resolving issues with accuracy and tact.

You Will:

  • Conduct vehicle inspections, documenting mechanical, interior, and exterior vehicle conditions using OPENLANE’s mobile application.
  • Capture required vehicle details and images, verify identifiers, note observable concerns and complete or correct profiles before launch. Escalate uncertain findings or missing information through the appropriate process.
  • Plan dealership visits across the assigned territory, confirm access to vehicles and keys, respond to short-notice requests when feasible, and communicate changes or coverage needs promptly.
  • Upload detailed condition reports and high-resolution photographs to the OPENLANE platform within strict SLA deadlines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Arbitration and Customer Service, to continuously refine inspection standards and minimize policy loss.

Where you Work: Your work is performed as a remote employee supporting a Territory/Market, traveling daily to various dealership and customer sites across the assigned Canadian region. Your work is performed outside in varied environments.

Must Have’s:

  • One to three years of customer service experience, with the ability to manage several dealer or client relationships and follow through on commitments.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to cover assigned field territory.
  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions as necessary to perform and complete your assigned work.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform accurate vehicle condition ratings and identify paint, body, structural, and mechanical damage.
  • Proficiency using digital mobile applications, inspection technology, and inventory management software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of maintaining positive relationships with external business partners.

Nice to Have’s:

  • Experience in vehicle inspections, automotive repair, damage appraisal, or field fleet operations.
  • Familiarity with OPENLANE platform products and digital automotive remarketing processes.
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification or recognized vehicle inspection credentials.
  • Working knowledge of Canadian wholesale automotive market trends and dealership operational workflows.
