About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Executive Search / Sales Consultant to join a boutique international executive search firm specialising in Investment Banking and Private Markets.

This position is suited to a confident, commercially minded recruitment professional with a proven track record in headhunting and managing relationships with senior-level candidates.

You will work on executive search mandates within the US banking market, identifying, approaching and engaging experienced financial services professionals.

The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional professionalism, strong communication skills and the credibility required to engage with senior bankers and financial services executives.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the candidate side of executive search assignments across the US investment banking market.
• Proactively headhunt and engage senior banking and financial services professionals.
• Identify suitable candidates through direct sourcing, market mapping and professional networks.
• Conduct detailed candidate interviews and qualification discussions.
• Build strong relationships with senior professionals and maintain ongoing candidate engagement.
• Present career opportunities professionally and confidentially.
• Assess candidate experience, motivations and suitability for executive-level opportunities.
• Manage candidate communications throughout the recruitment process.
• Develop and maintain talent pipelines across investment banking and private markets.
• Collaborate with senior consultants on retained executive search mandates.
• Provide market intelligence and candidate insights to support search strategies.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience in executive search, headhunting or specialist recruitment.
• Strong track record of sourcing and engaging senior-level professionals.
• Experience recruiting within investment banking, financial services or private markets would be highly advantageous.
• Excellent candidate relationship management and interviewing skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of professional recruitment processes.
• Confident communicating with senior bankers, executives and decision-makers.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Professional presentation and strong interpersonal skills, particularly during video interviews.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple recruitment assignments.
• Based in Cape Town and available to work US business hours.
