ABOUT THE ROLE

The Scrum Master 2 for Entegral is responsible for leading 2 or more self-organizing, mature teams, facilitating the Kanban & Scrum processes using agile methodology, managing the product delivery execution, removing impediments to progress and assessing and coaching the scrum team to improve efficiency of the delivery. The Scrum Master II serves the important role of bridging the gap between conceptualizing and actioning product development ideas within a team. The Scrum Master supports the Product Managers with managing the product backlog and is dedicated to maintaining a healthy and creative development process to deliver world class SaaS software.

The compensation information below is provided in compliance with job posting disclosure requirements in Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey,  New York, and Washington.  

 

Pay Range: $91,500 - $112,100

 

Actual base pay will depend on varying circumstances, including the position, location, individual qualifications, market finances, and other operational business needs. Depending on the position, compensation may also include bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the execution of Scrum, Kanban on the cross-functional product teams, operationalize flow frameworks within a Product Operating Model to shorten delivery cycles and eliminate bottlenecks; evaluate delivery maturity and leverage continuous feedback loops to optimize throughput, predictability, and product delivery execution
  • Facilitate high-impact Agile ceremonies and technical alignment sessions using servant leadership to drive self-organization, collaborative decision-making, and team consensus without dictating work
  • Drive sprint delivery commitments by supporting day-to-day team execution; to support the Product Manager and team step in to perform hands-on functional, edge-case, and user acceptance testing as needed to clear quality bottlenecks and achieve the team's Definition of Done
  • Cultivate a blameless, high-trust engineering environment centered on psychological safety, fast feedback, root-cause analysis, and transparent problem-solving
  • Configure and maintain Jira board workflows, filters, and capacity plans; build and analyze performance dashboards using Jira and Looker Studio to track flow metrics (cycle time, lead time, WIP limits, burndown) to drive empirical execution improvements
  • Proactively identify, escalate, and eliminate technical dependencies, operational roadblocks, and cross-team blockers; partner with technical leads to identify upskilling opportunities that build team autonomy
  • Partner with Product Managers and Product Owners to refine backlogs, break down complex epics into clear technical stories meeting the Definition of Ready, and align sprint goals directly with product roadmaps
  • Maintain domain expertise in emerging software delivery techniques, tooling, and Product Operating Model frameworks through active self-assessment, technical skill development, and performance goal setting

Qualifications

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • Must be able to travel and attend in-person meetings, training, and business events at company offices and other U.S. locations, including Madison, WI and St. Louis, MO, up to 2–4 times per year as required
  • For remote or full remote work-from-home positions, reliable high-speed internet, a dedicated professional workspace, and a functioning webcam are required. This position operates in a camera-on, video-first environment, and regular video participation is a condition of employment
  • Must be located in one of the following locations: AZ, FL, IL, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OR, TN, TX, VA, WA or WI
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • First level Scrum Master certification (PSM I, CSM, Team Kanban Practioner)
  • 4+ years experience in actively contributing to the SDLC in a variety of roles which could include: QA, Business Analyst, Product Manager and/or Engineer
  • 3+ years experience performing the role of Scrum Master and Kanban Practitioner in a software development/SaaS environment
    • Applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and techniques for filling intentional gaps in the Scrum/Kanban approach
    • Consistently delivering toward the strategic product increment
    • Building/molding autonomous teams
    • Driving actions through empirical data analysis
    • Working within a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, organizations, cultures, etc.)
  • 2+ years experience with Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA) for communication, work management and reporting to include:
    • Queries
    • Building workflow automations
    • Reports/Dashboards
  • 1+ years experience working within multiple Scrum teams simultaneously
  • 2+ years experience working with mature teams
  • Experience working within multiple agile frameworks
