Responsible for the proper, accurate placement of electrodes on the patient, taking proper precautions against skin breakdown. Educate patient on process, putting the patient at ease. Also responsible for the proper setup of all EEG equipment and cameras to ensure safety to the patient and others in the home while ensuring accuracy of readings. Also responsible for accurate setup of EKG testing, if ordered by physician. Also responsible for the proper, safe disconnect of all equipment at the conclusion of the study. Properly clean, disinfect and store Company equipment.   Primary Job Responsibilities: - Perform EEG testing on patients in their home. Ensure proper, accurate placement of electrodes while taking         proper precautions to minimize skin breakdown - Ensure all ordered procedures are completed in an organized, efficient manner - Effectively interact with patients, family members, etc. to put them at ease - Work within the scope of the American Society of EEG Technology guidelines while ensuring compliance with         regulatory standards - Set up equipment and cameras to ensure patient safety and accuracy of readings. Perform equipment test while in the home - If setting up EKG testing, ensure electrodes are attached properly. Activate unit. Educate the patient on EKG event button and Hotspot - Take pertinent patient history on patients and integrate all aspects of care for all age ranges including infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric - Ensure that inventory is properly allocated and available to conduct in-home studies - Ensure that completed studies are promptly and properly uploaded - At time of disconnect verify the validity of patient information - Adhere to Company Exposure Control Plan, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen standard, proper hand hygiene - Properly clean, disinfect, maintain and store equipment in keeping with Company protocols - Must adhere to HIPAA regulations, Company Confidentiality and Code of Conduct - Perform other duties as assigned   Education/Experience: - High school diploma or equivalent is required - Registered EEG Tech credentialing by the Board of Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologists through ABRET and/or Joint Commission experience a plus   Qualifications: - Superior customer service skills with the ability to establish rapport - Must be able to travel up to 95%, drive to multiple locations as necessary, including out of state, remote areas     and overnight travel - Able to work effectively and efficiently with minimal direct supervision - Proficient in Microsoft Office - Must have strong oral and written communication skills - Must react calmly in emergency situations - Able to make appropriate and timely decisions - Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate   Required Licenses/Certifications: - Current driver license with valid insurance - CPR certified   Required Skills:  Strong attention to detail, flexibility with schedule, Superior communication skills both written and oral, able to drive long distances in one sitting Required Competencies:  Interpersonal communication, conflict management, decision-making, active listening, ability to learn quickly and retain information Job Specific Competencies: Strong math skills including percentages and fractions, strong technology skills, Superior customer service skills with the ability to establish rapport, able to learn and retain information quickly    Physical Requirements: - Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds - Able to sit for extended periods of time - Able to stand, kneel and stoop - Frequent use of fingers and hands - Reaching with hands and arms - Talking and hearing - Clarity of vision both near and far - Ability to distinguish colors   Mental Requirements: - Data entry - Perform mathematical functions - Determine sequence of operations or actions   Work Environment: - Working in patients homes   Hazards: - Chemical and biohazardous exposure cleaning and decontaminating patient equipment EEG Setup Tech Career Path  Career Path Structure EEG Setup Technician Levels Notes Grade Job Title Years of Experience 4A EEG Setup Tech I Entry Level 4B EEG Setup Tech II 2-4 years exp. 4C EEG Setup Tech III 4-6 years exp. 4D EEG Setup Tech (Registered) 4+ years exp REEGT or 5+ yrs medical exp. 4E EEG Setup Lead Tech 5+ years exp.   Job Family Level Core Competencies and Responsibilities  EEG Tech I: You are the face of Stratus and the start of the diagnostic journey. Responsibilities: - Mentor and train new techs (Shadowing) - Assist in complex cases and regional field support - Perform quality checks and ensure consistency Skill Focus: - High school diploma or GED (required) - Leadership, communication, conflict resolution, feedback delivery - Detail oriented, superior communication skills both written/oral - Strong Technical Skills - Strong Mathematical Skills including percentages, fractions, etc. EEG Tech III: You shape the quality and growth of the EEG tech team across multiple regions. Responsibilities:  - Develop and deliver technician training programs - Act as the technical SME for field standards and updates - Contribute feedback to R&D or software teams for field-based innovation Skill Focus:  - High school diploma or GED (required) - Adult learning and coaching skills - Adhere to all levels of training documentation and SOP  - Collaboration with cross-functional teams (Clinical, R&D, Ops) - Strong Technical Skills - Strong Mathematical Skills including percentages, fractions, etc.   EEG Setup Tech (Medical or Registered): Bridge EEG field expertise with clinical software innovation. Responsibilities/Skill Focus: - High school diploma or GED (required) - Medical and or R.EEGT Certifications - Support neurologists, R&D, and sales teams with product insights - Assist in training on advanced tools and AI-integrated diagnostics (Ice Caps) - Serve as a SME in Field as needed - Strong Technical Skills - Strong Mathematical Skills including percentages, fractions, etc.   EEG Setup Tech Lead: Bridge EEG field expertise with clinical software innovation.
