Your Impact as a Director, Talent Management:

Director, Talent Management is a critical People Leadership role responsible for designing and executing Energy Vault's global talent strategy across the full employee lifecycle. This role will lead Talent Management, Employer Branding, Workforce Planning, Recruiting, Onboarding, and Internal Mobility programs while serving as a trusted advisor to executive leaders across the organization.

You will ensure Energy Vault attracts, hires, develops, and retains world-class talent capable of supporting our growth as a global energy infrastructure company. The role requires balancing strategic workforce planning with operational excellence while creating scalable processes and exceptional employee and candidate experiences.

Whether you're recruiting highly specialized technical talent, presenting workforce insights to executives, or establishing a structured learning framework, you bring curiosity, business acumen, and a passion for creating impact.

You leverage experience in fast-paced, complex organizations, hiring both technical and corporate talent globally. You are comfortable influencing executives, leading talent discussions, and translating data into meaningful business insights. You are a strong communicator, an avid learner, and a collaborative leader who builds trusted relationships across the organization.

You are confident enough to challenge the status quo, advocate for talent best practices and exceptional candidate and employee experiences, while remaining flexible, open-minded, and focused on what is best for both the business and its people.

Talent Management Leadership

• Develop and execute Energy Vault's global talent strategy to support business growth and workforce needs.
• Partner with executive leaders on workforce planning, organizational capability, learning & development, and employee retention strategy.
• Develop and execute a companywide learning and development strategy aligned with organizational priorities, workforce needs, and long-term business objectives.
• Identify key moments in the employee lifecycle that influence engagement and retention, including onboarding, manager transitions, career progression, organizational change, and leadership development.
• Develop and lead employee retention strategy in partnership with People leadership and business leaders.
• Create frameworks that provide employees with greater visibility into career opportunities and potential career paths within the organization.
• Design manager training in areas such as coaching, feedback, performance management, employee development, difficult conversations, inclusion, change leadership, and employee engagement.
• Establish a comprehensive measurement framework for learning, talent development, and retention.

Global Talent Acquisition

• Lead global recruiting efforts across North America, EMEA, and APAC for technical, field, corporate, and leadership roles.
• Oversee full-cycle recruitment, ensuring an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.
• Build diverse talent pipelines and implement innovative sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill positions.
• Establish recruiting metrics and continuously improve hiring outcomes.

Employer Brand & Talent Marketing

• Strengthen Energy Vault's employer brand and talent market presence.
• Partner with Marketing to enhance career site content, social recruiting, and talent attraction campaigns.
• Monitor and improve our presence on LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Indeed, and other key talent platforms.

Workforce Planning & Talent Operations

• Lead workforce planning initiatives to ensure the organization has the right talent, in the right roles, at the right time.
• Use talent analytics and market insights to support business decisions and hiring strategies.
• Continuously improve recruiting processes, systems, and vendor partnerships to drive efficiency and scalability.

Onboarding & Employee Experience

• Design and oversee onboarding programs that accelerate employee integration, engagement, and productivity.
• Partner with People Operations to translate talent reviews into meaningful development plans, experiences, mentoring, coaching, and learning opportunities.
• Support organizational initiatives that strengthen a culture of continuous learning, feedback, inclusion, accountability, and growth.

Team Leadership

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Talent Acquisition team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and service excellence.
• Build scalable talent practices that support Energy Vault's continued global growth.

• 10+ years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Workforce Planning, or Human Resources.
• 5+ years leading global Talent Acquisition teams.
• Deep understanding of workforce planning, talent analytics, employer branding, and organizational effectiveness.
• Experience in early-stage companies and/or energy storage industry nice to have.
• Excellent communication, prioritization, sense of urgency, flexibility, and focus on data.
• Sound judgment and ability to recognize and protect confidential information.
• Ambition; an intrinsic motivation to learn, impress, and deliver with limited structure and guidance.
• Joy and fulfillment collaborating with and helping others.
• Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally, up to 10%.
• Comfortable thriving in fast-paced, rapid growth environments.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
