Cherub is the social-first fundraising network connecting founders, investors, and creators. We’re building a new way for founders to raise capital, build strategic cap tables, and connect with people who can meaningfully move their businesses forward.
We’re growing quickly and looking for a highly commercial, relationship-driven Director of Sales & Partnerships to help us scale revenue across founder memberships, brand partnerships, sponsorships, and strategic collaborations.
The Director of Sales & Partnerships will own key revenue-generating relationships across Cherub.
This is a hands-on sales role for someone who knows how to identify opportunities, build relationships, create compelling packages, and close.
You’ll work across three primary areas: founder sales, sponsorships, and in-kind/strategic partnerships.
You should be equally comfortable taking a founder through the Cherub sales process, pitching a brand on a six-figure partnership, and negotiating an in-kind relationship that meaningfully offsets event or community costs.
This is not a “strategy-only” role. You will be expected to sell.
Drive founder membership and partnership revenue across Cherub.
Manage high-value and strategic founder prospects from first conversation through close.
Develop relationships with founders, accelerators, venture firms, agencies, and other founder ecosystems.
Identify opportunities to expand founder relationships into events, partnerships, and other Cherub products.
Partner with the Founder Membership team to refine sales messaging, objections, pricing, and conversion strategy.
Own sponsorship sales across Cherub events, content, and experiences.
Prospect and build relationships with brands, platforms, financial institutions, professional services firms, and other relevant partners.
Create custom partnership packages based on partner goals and Cherub inventory.
Lead pitches, negotiations, contracting, and closing.
Build a healthy pipeline of both inbound and outbound sponsorship opportunities.
Grow existing partners into larger, longer-term relationships.
Source and close strategic and in-kind partners for Cherub events and community experiences.
Develop partnerships across hospitality, food and beverage, gifting, beauty, fashion, wellness, travel, and other relevant categories.
Structure partnerships that create meaningful value for both Cherub and our partners rather than simply trading logo placement for product.
Work closely with marketing, events, and community teams to ensure partnerships are executed at a high level.
Maintain a clear, accurate pipeline and revenue forecast.
Establish sales processes, materials, follow-up cadences, and reporting.
Track conversion, deal size, sales cycle, and revenue performance.
Identify new revenue opportunities based on what we are hearing from founders and partners.
Help build a scalable sales organization as Cherub grows.
5+ years of experience in sales, partnerships, business development, sponsorships, or a related revenue-generating role.
A proven closer with a track record of owning and hitting revenue goals.
Highly relationship-driven but commercially minded—you know relationships ultimately need to turn into outcomes.
Comfortable selling both standardized products and highly customized partnerships.
Strong at outbound prospecting and not reliant solely on inbound leads.
Excellent communicator who can pitch confidently to founders, executives, brands, and investors.
Organized enough to manage a large pipeline without letting opportunities fall through the cracks.
Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup.
Excited by startups, venture capital, creators, and the future of ownership.
Within your first year, you have built a predictable pipeline across founder revenue and partnerships, consistently closed new business, expanded several partners into larger relationships, and helped turn Cherub’s network and brand into a scalable revenue engine.
You don’t just wait for opportunities to come in—you create them.
We move before we're told to. High agency isn't a perk here, it's the job. We own outcomes, not tasks, and we'd rather you try something and course-correct than wait around for a green light.
We're craftspeople. We ship fast and sometimes it's imperfect, but at the end of a hard sprint you should be able to point at what you made and mean it. Generic isn't good enough here.
We stay curious. Everything is moving fast: platforms, markets, AI. The best people here are students of their craft whether or not anyone asked them to be.
We operate with integrity. No politics, no ego, no blame. We're honest with each other and with the people trusting us with real money and real connections.
We earn the trust we're given. This company is small, the mission is big, and every person here carries real weight. We don't micro manage you. We trust you. Don't make us regret it.
