ClearCo is seeking a Director, Legal to lead and support the legal affairs of a dynamic, private equity-backed B2B SaaS company. This high-impact role is ideal for a pragmatic, business-minded lawyer who excels in fast-paced environments and enjoys building scalable legal processes. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with leaders across HR, Revenue Operations, Finance, and Procurement, the Director, Legal will play a critical role in supporting commercial contracting and strategic business initiatives.

The Director, Legal will provide practical legal guidance on commercial agreements, corporate governance, employment matters, dispute resolution, and product counseling related to AI, privacy, and information security in the HR technology context. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating a variety of agreements, partnering with Sales and Revenue Operations to structure deals, advising on legal issues related to AI and privacy, and continuously improving contract templates and negotiation playbooks. The role also involves supporting employment and benefits matters, coordinating with external counsel, and implementing opportunities to streamline and scale the contracting process using legal technology.

The ideal candidate brings at least six years of experience in SaaS or technology transactions, a JD from an accredited law school, and active bar membership. Strong business judgment, excellent drafting and negotiation skills, and experience managing a high-volume contract workload are essential. Familiarity with legal technology and a demonstrated interest in building efficient legal processes are highly valued.
