The Director will lead the FP&A team and partner with senior program leaders to provide insights to executive-level audiences and influence business decisions.

The Director will be a self-starter and people leader who anticipates needs, advances priorities with appropriate independence, develops team capabilities, and converts complex financial data into clear business insights.

This role will champion innovation, automation, and responsible use of approved financial AI and data tools to improve the efficiency, accuracy, consistency, and forward-looking value of FP&A deliverables.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Own and contribute to financial planning for annual operating and capital budgets, long-term (3 year) forecasts, and periodic rolling forecasts and outlooks.
  • Leverage data and trends to prepare what-if scenarios based on key drivers and financial levers for ACR’s diverse programmatic and operational areas.
  • Identify and perform ad hoc analysis and financial modeling to bring value-added insights to program leaders and decision-makers.
  • Develop financial presentations for the ACR Board, Executive Team, and business partners.
  • Create data visualizations and dashboards, including defining KPIs and metrics that provide insight and serve as leading indicators of performance.
  • Oversee financial reporting and performance management; establish forecasting standards, review controls, and routines/methods that improve forecast accuracy, variance quality, analytical consistency, and confidence in reported results.
  • Proactively identify enterprise and program-level financial risks and opportunities, surface emerging trends, and communicate clear recommendations and actions to leadership.
  • Translate complex financial analysis into concise, actionable guidance for non-financial stakeholders, connecting financial performance to operational drivers and strategic priorities.
  • Partner with the Senior Director on business cases, pricing, profitability, resource allocation, and product or program assessments through scenario, ROI, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Drive FP&A process, technology, and automation improvements by redesigning workflows, eliminating low-value manual activity, and developing scalable reporting and planning solutions.
  • Apply approved AI tools, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, to support research, modeling, variance analysis, forecast preparation, narrative development, and quality assurance. Validate AI-assisted outputs and protect confidential or sensitive information in accordance with ACR policy.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing FP&A team; set clear expectations, provide timely coaching and feedback, foster accountability and constructive challenge, and coordinate the contributions of dotted-line financial analysts.
  • Demonstrate initiative and sound judgment by independently advancing priorities, resolving issues, and escalating material risks or decisions at the appropriate time.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or greater in finance or a related business field; PMP and/or CMA certification preferred.
  • 12+ years of hands-on experience in financial planning, reporting and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, with increasing responsibility.
  • 7+ years of management or supervisory experience with proven success managing, coaching, and mentoring high-performing financial teams.
  • Strong critical-thinking, project-management, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience creating and owning complex financial models.
  • Proven ability to develop PowerPoint presentations and data visualizations that communicate the financial story for the intended audience.
  • Experience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, data warehouses, project-management software, ERP systems like Net Suite, budgeting and reporting tools, and HRIS systems is preferred.
  • Experience driving process improvement, technology enablement, and automation within FP&A or a comparable finance function.
  • Experience with financial AI and data tools, including the ability to evaluate use cases, develop effective workflows, validate outputs, and apply responsible data-handling practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a proactive, independent leader, exercise sound strategic judgment, and collaborate effectively across functions and organizational levels.
