The opportunity

Reporting to the VP, Business Transformation, we are hiring a Digital Transformation Partner (People & Culture) to help shape and deliver WELL Health’s digital and AI agenda across People & Culture. In this newly created role, you will work closely with P&C leaders and teams to understand how work gets done today, identify pain points and opportunities, and determine where AI, automation, and technology can simplify processes, improve the employee experience, and create measurable value.

This is a hands-on role where you will take opportunities from discovery through implementation and adoption. You will map processes, define requirements, prioritize use cases, and design and build automations, AI agents, and workflows. For more complex solutions, you will partner with WELL’s AI, Data, and enterprise technology teams while continuing to own the business outcome.

Your scope will span the employee lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, payroll, total rewards, employee programs, M&A, and broader strategic initiatives. As WELL continues to grow, you will help P&C build its digital and AI capabilities while creating scalable solutions and approaches that can evolve with the organization.

This is a fully remote role based anywhere in Canada, with a preference for candidates located in Vancouver.

Who you are

You are a hands-on digital transformation professional who enjoys turning business challenges into practical solutions people actually use. You can move from a conversation about a frustrating process or recurring pain point to understanding the underlying problem, identifying where technology can make a difference, and building and implementing a solution.

You bring together technical capability, business thinking, and curiosity. You are comfortable building with AI and automation tools yourself, while knowing when a solution requires deeper data, AI, or engineering expertise. You can navigate ambiguity, ask the right questions, prioritize opportunities based on value and complexity, and take ownership from discovery and design through testing, deployment, and adoption.

You are equally comfortable working with technology and people. You can partner with senior People & Culture leaders, understand the realities of how teams work, and translate between business needs and technical possibilities. Most importantly, you are motivated by outcomes: simplifying work, improving the employee experience, and helping teams confidently adopt new ways of working.

What's in it for you

Build and see your work in action. You will have the opportunity to take real P&C challenges from an initial pain point through to a working solution. Rather than stopping at strategy or recommendations, you will build, test, deploy, and improve AI agents, automations, and workflows that simplify how work gets done and create measurable value for employees and the P&C team.

Ownership and influence. As a newly created role embedded in People & Culture, you will have direct access to senior P&C leaders and the autonomy to help identify and prioritize where digital transformation can have the greatest impact. You will influence the roadmap while owning selected initiatives from discovery through implementation and adoption.

Broad scope and technical growth. You will work across hiring, onboarding, payroll, total rewards, employee programs, M&A, and larger strategic initiatives, giving you exposure to a wide range of business challenges. You will also partner with WELL’s AI, Data, and technology teams and work with evolving AI and automation capabilities, expanding both your technical expertise and your understanding of enterprise transformation.

Help shape what comes next. You will join WELL as it continues to build its digital transformation capabilities and explore how AI can improve work across the organization. As an early member of the Digital Transformation Partner team, you will have the opportunity to help establish approaches and practices that can be applied beyond P&C as the function grows.

You will:

  • You will build and see your work in action. You will take real P&C challenges from an initial pain point through to a working solution. You will build, test, deploy, and improve AI agents, automations, and workflows that simplify how work gets done and create measurable value for employees and the P&C team.
  • You will have ownership and influence. You will have direct access to senior P&C leaders and the autonomy to help identify and prioritize where digital transformation can have the greatest impact. You will influence the roadmap while owning selected initiatives from discovery and design through implementation and adoption.
  • You will broaden your scope and technical expertise. You will work across hiring, onboarding, payroll, total rewards, employee programs, M&A, and larger strategic initiatives. You will partner with WELL’s AI, Data, and technology teams, gaining exposure to evolving AI and automation capabilities while deepening your experience delivering enterprise transformation.
  • You will help shape what comes next. You will join WELL as it continues to build its digital transformation capabilities and explore how AI can improve work across the organization. As an early member of the Digital Transformation Partner team, you will help establish approaches and practices that can be applied beyond P&C as the function grows.

Here's what you bring:

  • The digital transformation experience. You have experience taking digital transformation, automation, AI, product, or technology-enabled initiatives from an identified business problem through to implementation and adoption. You can assess how work happens today, uncover opportunities for improvement, define a future state, and turn ideas into practical solutions that deliver measurable value.
  • The hands-on AI and automation skills. You have experience building and deploying AI-enabled solutions, automations, agents, or workflows. You are comfortable working with modern AI tools and understand what it takes to move beyond experimentation to solutions that are tested, reliable, secure, and useful in a business environment.
  • The business and process mindset. You can dig into an ambiguous or inefficient process, ask thoughtful questions, map requirements, and determine where technology can create the greatest value. You know how to balance business impact, complexity, available resources, and technical feasibility when prioritizing what to solve and how to solve it.
  • The technical toolkit. You have worked with tools and platforms used to build AI and automation solutions. Experience within the Microsoft ecosystem, including Copilot Studio, AI Foundry, or Fabric, is valuable, as is exposure to OpenAI or Anthropic technologies. Familiarity with HR platforms such as Workday, UKG, ADP, or Shareworks would be an asset.
  • The collaboration and communication skills. You can build trusted relationships with senior leaders, business stakeholders, and technical teams. You can translate business needs into clear technical requirements and explain technical possibilities in practical terms, bringing different perspectives together to move an initiative forward.
  • The ownership and adaptability. You are comfortable operating in a highly matrixed environment where priorities and requirements may evolve. You can bring structure to ambiguity, move between strategy and hands-on execution, and stay accountable for an initiative through testing, deployment, change management, and adoption.

Preferred qualifications

While not required, experience working with Microsoft technologies such as Fabric, AI Foundry, or Copilot Studio would be an asset. Additional experience with AI platforms such as OpenAI or Anthropic, as well as exposure to People & Culture processes or HR systems such as Workday, UKG, ADP, or Shareworks, would help you ramp up quickly. Experience applying AI and automation within People & Culture or other enterprise business functions is also considered an asset.
