Responsibilities

The incumbent will analyze NHC security systems and seek improvements on a continuous basis. The engineer will report on possible threats or software issues while continuously seeking out defense weaknesses within the organization and identifying ways to counter them. They will also work closely with the incident response team to ensure that the best detection mechanisms are in place for the ever-changing threat landscapes. The engineer will have the technical skills to enhance the overall detection capabilities, and continuously improve detection and alerting. The engineer will also review current trends and look to improve overall cyber defenses through new cost-effective solutions. The individual must be able to solve complex problems and have experience with software/hardware analysis. The individual will work with NHC IS leadership to develop best practices, policies, and security standards for the organization.

This position has the opportunity to work from home. You may be asked to complete training at a Norton Healthcare facility or be able to come to a Norton Healthcare facility for business purposes. Employees in this role must reside in Kentucky or Indiana

Qualifications

Required:
  • Seven years experience in cybersecurity without a degree or a Bachelor's degree with three years of experience in cybersecurity
  • Bachelor Degree
