Job Summary

Claims analysts perform various functions which primarily involve analyzing, advising, and managing claims for AHP, RWS, and Porch Warranty. With an emphasis on reviewing claims filed for completeness and accuracy, as well as establishing coverage under the terms of the contract.

What You Will Do As A Claims Analyst

Claims management & analysis:

• Manage entire claim compensation process.

• Review all requests for claim denial, clear data, and claim exceptions, and ensure deficiencies are flagged correctly and customers are notified promptly of coverages.

• Ensure eligibility for claims is reasonable and correct by analyzing claims and supporting documentation.

• Responsible for analyzing claims and interpreting policies.

• Assess and authorize claim payouts when provided with a given limit of authority.

• Work claims out of dedicated folders as directed by upper management.

Communication & Escalations

• De-escalate escalated claims with efficiency and in a timely manner.

• Responsible for sending process claimant responses, including deficiency and rejection letters.

• Provide responsiveness in a timely and efficient manner to clients.

• Communicate updates, claim information requests, and recommendations to all relevant units.

• Must have a clear and concise understanding of escalation protocols and policies.

• Responsible for escalating claim quality concerns and outcomes to a supervisor or the appropriate unit.

Documentation & Legal Coordination

• Utilize software to document client conversations by accurate and descriptive note taking. Every action taken within the claim requires a note to be made.

• Responsible for the review and tracking of all documentation and ensure to follow up for additional information where necessary.

Daily Operations & Reporting

• Responsible for managing all claims-related activities daily.

• Monitor claims intake and notify supervisor of any impending backlog or delay concerns.

• Complete no less than 7 hours of log time within the system daily.

• Track all claims worked daily to meet weekly claims goals set by upper management (40 status changes/contacts a day).

• Minimum of claims processed: 6 per day.

• Be on time and work a scheduled shift with allotted lunch and break times as directed by a supervisor.

What You Will Bring As A Claims Analyst

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; a degree or coursework in business, insurance, or a related field is a plus

• Prior experience in claims, insurance, or customer service, ideally in home warranty or property insurance.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain coverage decisions clearly to customers.

• Comfort managing a high volume of open claims and moving between them without losing track of details.

• Sound judgment for reviewing documentation and assessing coverage against contract terms. Proficiency with claims management software and general computer applications.

• Proven experience working with US based business teams

• Excellent written and communication skills in English language

• This role requires full and ongoing overlap with Porch’s U.S. EST business hours (7:30 PM IST – 3:30 AM IST). A Night Shift Allowance is applicable for this position in line with company policy.
• Workspace: A quiet space to work, an internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download | 10 Mbps upload

What You Will Get As A Porch Group Team Member

Pay Range: 600,000 - 840,000 INR annually
