Business Development Manager, Microsoft AI Workforce - Canada

We are looking for a Business Development Manager, Microsoft AI Workforce to drive growth across Microsoft 365, Microsoft Security, Microsoft Copilot, and related AI-powered workplace solutions. 

In this role, you will work closely with Sherweb partners to help them build profitable Microsoft practices, accelerate customer adoption, and maximize the value of Microsoft's AI-powered workplace solutions. You will serve as a trusted advisor to partners, helping them identify opportunities, position Microsoft solutions, and execute growth strategies that increase customer acquisition, retention, and cloud consumption. 

You will collaborate closely with marketing, enablement, technical specialists, partner success teams, and Microsoft stakeholders to support Sherweb's growth objectives and Microsoft's AI-first transformation strategy. 

Here's what your day-to-day will look like in this role 

• Develop and execute business development strategies that drive revenue growth across Microsoft 365, Microsoft Copilot, Teams, Business Premium, and associated services. 
• Build and manage a healthy pipeline of opportunities through Sherweb's partner ecosystem. 
• Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities with existing and prospective partners. 
• Act as a trusted advisor to partners by helping them develop Modern Work and AI-focused sales motions. 
• Drive Copilot readiness, adoption, and expansion opportunities across partners and their customers. 
• Support partner enablement initiatives that help partners build profitable, repeatable Microsoft cloud practices. 
• Work with partners to identify customer business challenges and align Microsoft solutions to business outcomes. 
• Collaborate with marketing and enablement teams on campaigns, webinars, workshops, and partner engagement initiatives. 
• Deliver sales presentations, product positioning, business reviews, and opportunity planning sessions. 
• Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM hygiene. 
• Stay current on Microsoft technologies, licensing changes, AI innovations, and market trends. 
• Support cross-sell and upsell opportunities across Sherweb's Microsoft portfolio. 
• Achieve and exceed assigned sales, revenue, and performance targets. 

Here's what you need to have and master to get the job 

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field or equivalent working experience. 
• Minimum 2 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or channel sales within the technology industry. 
• Experience working with Microsoft cloud solutions, SaaS offerings, or managed services. 
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Teams, and Modern Work workloads. 
• Ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers at multiple levels. 
• Strong prospecting, opportunity management, and closing skills. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Strong business acumen and consultative selling abilities. 
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving, and remote environment. 
• Ability to travel occasionally within the United States and Canada as required. 

Preferred qualifications 

• Experience working within an MSP, VAR, CSP, distributor, or Microsoft partner ecosystem. 
• Experience selling Microsoft 365, Copilot, Security, or cloud subscription services. 
• Familiarity with Microsoft's partner programs and incentive structures. 
• Knowledge of Microsoft Security attach opportunities, including Defender, Entra, and Purview. 
• Experience driving customer adoption, consumption, and cloud growth initiatives. 
• Microsoft certifications are considered an asset.

English requirement 

Reasons for the requirement of English: Sherweb has international customers and fluency in English is the only way to ensure proper service delivery to them. The main tasks related to this position require written and oral communication with an English-speaking clientele at all times.
