About the Role 

We are seeking an experienced strategic partnerships and business development leader to expand our reach, cultivate long-term relationships, and drive sustainable growth within business development. This individual will identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships that increase organizational impact, generate new business opportunities, and strengthen our presence across the education and social impact sectors. 

This is a full-cycle business development role responsible for prospecting, relationship management, proposal development, contract negotiations, and closing new business. Requirements

Ideal Candidate Qualification
The ideal candidate brings 7-10 years of professional experience, including at least five years leading strategic partnerships, business development, or external engagement initiatives with demonstrated success in generating measurable growth, including qualified referrals, strategic partnerships, new business opportunities, closed deals, and sustained revenue growth. Experience in the K-12 education sector, edtech, nonprofit space, or other social sector experience is strongly preferred. 

This role is well suited for:

  • A strategic partnerships or business development leader with experience in the social sector, a strong professional network or existing book of clients/relationships, and a proven ability to turn those relationships into measurable outcomes, who is looking to bring their expertise to a mission-driven organization.
  • An entrepreneurial consultant who has successfully built and scaled a consulting or advisory practice and is ready to bring that experience, independence, and entrepreneurial mindset to a growing organization.
  • A self-directed, relationship-oriented builder who is comfortable operating in ambiguity and significant change, building frameworks where they do not already exist, directly owning areas of work, and co-holding key relationships with the CEO while turning priorities into sustainable growth and impact.

Required

  • 5+ years of business development, strategic partnerships, consulting sales, or professional services sales experience.
  • Proven track record of generating new business and consistently meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles from initial outreach through contract execution.
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to understand organizational challenges and position strategic workforce solutions.
  • Experience responding to RFPs, RFQs, and competitive proposals.
  • Excellent relationship-building, networking, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience using CRM platforms and utilizing reports/metric tracking/dashboards (ClickUp preferred).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

  • Existing network of business leaders, HR professionals, nonprofit executives, or government procurement contacts.
  • Knowledge of government contracting, supplier diversity programs, or procurement processes.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Own the complete business development lifecycle, from prospecting through contract execution and client handoff. 
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand Daniels Talent Solutions' client portfolio across multiple industries. 
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities with corporate employers, nonprofit organizations, healthcare organizations, educational institutions, and government agencies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with executive leaders, HR executives, hiring managers, procurement professionals, and organizational decision-makers. 
  • Research and qualify Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), staffing opportunities, consulting engagements, and strategic partnerships.
  • Lead proposal development and collaborate with the CEO on presentations and interviews.
  • Collaborate with recruiting and operations teams to develop customized workforce solutions that meet client needs. 
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurate forecasting within Click Up (CRM System)
  • Represent Daniels Talent Solutions at networking events, conferences, industry days, and business development meetings. 
  • Build strategic partnerships with organizations, referral sources, chambers of commerce, workforce agencies, and community organizations. 
  • Stay informed on workforce trends, labor market conditions, procurement opportunities, and emerging industries.
  • Track and report metrics including leads acquired, close rate, RFP submissions, discovery calls, etc., utilizing CRM dashboards
  • Contribute to DTS’ overall growth strategy by identifying market opportunities and partnership initiatives.
