Billing Representative II

Billing Representative II - Monday to Friday, Between 7:30AM – 5:30PM Eastern
 

In an environment where the patient is at the center of everything that we do the individuals in this position typically works with Billing Representatives and other employees handling complex billing issues for the purpose of collecting revenue for the organization. Will work with Patient, Client and/or Third-Party insurance bills.  

Pay range: $17.25+ per hour

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing Third – Party AR by analyzing denied and un-responded claims
• Outbound calls to insurance carriers to reconcile/resolve any issues
• Familiar with explanation of benefits
• Always maintain Compliance and HIPPA standard
• Meet or exceed daily production standards by maintaining work list according to metrics
• Meet or exceed daily quality standards 
• Perform other duties and functions as assigned 
• Process insurance/patient refunds and adjustments
• Evaluate and response to all email requests for any AR issues to resolve in a timely manner 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED 
• Must be 18 years of age OR older 
• 1-2 years Medical Billing experience
• Ability to read and translate EOB and insurance correspondence
• Ability to create and modify spreadsheets within Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiar with insurance appeals
• 1-2 years of QBS experience
