AI Summary

The Associate Account Executive will own the full sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, negotiation, and closing TCG deals. They will also build trusted relationships with collectors and provide feedback to shape product development.

Alt is unlocking the value of alternative assets, starting with the $5 B trading-card market. We let collectors buy, sell, vault, and finance their cards in one place and we are backed by leaders at Stripe, Coinbase, Seven Seven Six, and pro athletes like Tom Brady and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Our next frontier is real-time pricing at scale—the Alt Value that powers every trade, loan, and product on the platform.

The Role

We’re looking for a proven Associate Account Executive with deep knowledge and passion for TCG. You know the history, the players, and the stories behind the cardboard. And you know how to translate that knowledge into trusted relationships and closed deals.

What you own: closed TCG volume, against a quota.

Here is the part most candidates get wrong. Knowing the games is table stakes. What we're buying is the ability to sit across from someone with a six-figure collection, understand what they're actually optimizing for - the case they want to crack, the tuition payment, the grail they're chasing, the number they don't want to explain to anyone - and then explain why Alt gets them there better than anyone else.

What You'll Own

  • Close business. Own the full sales cycle and bring TCG buyers and sellers onto Alt. Discovery, objection handling, negotiation, close.

  • Hunt daily. Prospecting is the job, every day: LinkedIn, Instagram, Discord, group breaks, shop owners, the people already moving volume in public. Cold outreach is not a phase you graduate from.

  • Build trust. In TCG, reputation travels faster than in any other category, in both directions. You'll become the person serious collectors want to consign with, and that reputation is yours to build and yours to protect.

  • Run your process. Prospecting, qualification, relationship-building, pipeline hygiene. Salesforce and Outreach are where the work lives, and a clean pipeline is how we forecast a category that's still being built.

  • Shape product. You'll spot the gaps: auction formats for sealed, how we price a set that reprinted last month, seller workflows for someone submitting 300 slabs instead of one. The TCG seller behaves nothing like the sports card seller, and right now you'll know that better than anyone here.

  • Work the floor. Shows and events are where TCG relationships get made. The sales team covers roughly 30 shows a year and splits them up. Expect travel, and expect to pitch standing up.

What You Bring

  • 3-5 years of full-cycle sales experience, ideally in a fast-paced or startup environment. Full cycle means you closed, not just sourced.

  • A proven track record of exceeding quota and managing pipeline in Salesforce or a comparable CRM. Bring the numbers: quota, attainment, average deal size, how you built the pipeline.

  • A passion for TCG - as a player, collector, investor, or dealer. You can talk about what a PSA 10 first edition Charizard actually trades for, why a sealed case holds or doesn't, what One Piece did to the market, and which sets you'd never touch.

  • Relentless drive. Comfortable with cold outreach, discovery, and deal-closing conversations. You don't wait for the inbound.

  • Strong communication with customers and with internal teams. In this category that means listening more than you talk.

  • Coachability. Even if you don't know every game or format, you're eager to learn and humble enough to take feedback, including feedback that your old playbook doesn't work here.

  • Willingness to travel to shows and to get on a plane when a deal justifies it.

Bonus: you've sold at a marketplace, auction house, or shop in this space. You have a book of TCG relationships you can name. You've run breaks, streamed, or built an audience in the hobby.

How We'll Interview You

We'll be specific so you can prepare. Before any of it: download the app, put a card up, make a bid, and try Snap to Sell. Every round assumes you've used the product, and we expect your point of view to sharpen as you go.

1. Recruiter screen - 30 minutes. Resume, why you're on the market, why Alt, a deal you lost, and comp. There is also a live positioning question: how you'd pitch Alt. Have a real answer.

2. Hiring manager with Matt - 30 minutes. Matt runs sales here and this role reports to him. Your TCG depth, your network, your quota history, and how you'd actually build this book. Come with a plan

3. Tyler, our COO - 30 minutes. Tyler will want to know how you'd grow the category, not just work it: go-to-market, segmentation, the first experiment you'd run.

4. Leore, our founder and CEO - 30 minutes. Everyone who joins Alt meets Leore. Expect to describe your customer base in detail and to be asked why anyone consigns with us instead of selling where they sold last week.

What we offer:

  • We cover 85% of your medical, dental, and vision, and up to 50% for dependents. HSA/FSA available

  • Generous PTO that people actually take

  • Parental leave at full salary

  • $200/month wellness + $100/month home office stipend

  • Free DoorDash Pass membership, because dinner shouldn't be a decision

  • Remote-first (for most positions), with WeWork access when you want a room with other humans

  • 401(k)

  • Alt Equity to all full-time employees
