As the Art Director, you are responsible for developing creative concepts that communicate our nonprofit client's marketing objectives and effectively elicit a response by motivating donors to act and support the clients' missions. You will have a strong knowledge of successful direct mail fundraising concepts, techniques, and multi-channel integrated campaigns, and be a strategic and highly conceptual thinker in both visual and integrated design.

Your impact:
  • Conceptualizes, designs, and develops innovative conventional, premium-based direct mail packages and multi-channel integrated digital campaigns from inception to delivery of print-ready art to printers.
  • Works in conjunction with creative teammates, account teams, and project managers to ensure that all project deadlines are met.
  • Reviews and understands package performance results.
  • Creates presentation-ready artwork, including mock-ups, animations, and Power Points.
  • Attends internal project development and workflow tracking meetings.
  • Attends client meetings to present creative and generate new creative ideas.
Your Profile:

NOTE: Qualified candidates must provide access to a portfolio of creative work.
  • Five to seven years of direct response fundraising experience.
  • Bachelor's degree (or additional work experience to satisfy the education requirement).
  • Proficiency in Adobe CC (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, XD, and After Effects) and Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, and Excel) in an OSX environment.
  • An extensive understanding of direct response techniques across print and digital platforms, print and digital production processes, design, typography, and illustration.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Organized, detail oriented, able to work independently and on teams while managing multiple projects and meeting critical deadlines.
