About the Role:

We're looking for an exceptional AI Automation Engineer to rapidly build working solutions for our internal teams — scripts, integrations, agents, and mini-services. This role is ideal for someone who can go from a request to a working solution in days, not sprints. You'll work closely with Finance, Legal, Operations, and Support to understand real problems and ship practical automation that people actually use. This is a hands-on builder role requiring both strong engineering fundamentals and fluency with modern AI tooling — someone who thrives on ambiguity, picks their own stack, and takes ownership from idea to adoption.

Your Role:

• Build ad-hoc LLM-powered tools: document processing, data extraction, classification, reporting, and internal chat interfaces.
• Integrate internal systems via APIs and MCP connectors (Jira, Confluence, Slack, BambooHR, CRM, databases).
• Take prototypes to a state where non-technical teams can actually use them, and hand off to support.
• Dig into how a process really works before automating it — half the job is understanding what people actually do, not just what they say they do.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong engineering background: Python (or TypeScript), APIs, SQL, git, deploying without hand-holding.
• Hands-on production experience with LLMs: prompting, structured output, RAG, tool calling, and handling model errors and quality evaluation.
• Uses AI coding agents daily as a core part of how you work (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) — not occasionally, but as your default mode.
• Fully autonomous: you define the problem, choose the stack, and take it all the way to the end user.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in fintech or payments, with an understanding of compliance constraints and handling sensitive data.
• Experience with actual rollout, not just development — training users, gathering feedback, and measuring impact.
