The role involves building and executing a targeted LinkedIn prospecting strategy to generate qualified leads and book appointments for an AI automation business. You will also be responsible for managing CRM data, refining outreach messaging, and supporting the development of automated business workflows.
This is a remote position.
About the Client
A former NBA player, Mizzou Athletics Hall of Famer, entrepreneur, and founder building businesses at the intersection of sports, culture, technology, and entrepreneurship.
For this role, the primary focus will be supporting his AI automation business, a growing venture focused on helping small businesses improve their visibility, lead generation, CRM processes, and customer engagement through AI, automation, AEO/GEO strategies, and related solutions.
The business is currently in its early growth stage and is building its outbound sales and lead-generation infrastructure from the ground up. The initial focus is LinkedIn outreach, with opportunities for the successful VA to take on additional responsibilities as the business grows.
Position Overview
We are looking for a proactive, resourceful, and commercially minded LinkedIn Lead Generation & Outreach VA who can help build and execute a targeted LinkedIn prospecting strategy.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable researching prospects, building lead lists, developing personalized outreach messaging, managing LinkedIn outreach, tracking prospects, and helping convert conversations into qualified appointments.
This is not simply a data-entry or message-sending role. The client is looking for someone who can bring ideas, recommend improvements, and eventually help build a repeatable and efficient outreach system.
The initial engagement is focused on LinkedIn, but the role may expand into CRM management, automation support, AI-related workflows, content strategy, and other business-development activities as the company grows.
Primary Responsibilities
1. LinkedIn Lead Generation & Prospect Research
2. LinkedIn Outreach
3. Appointment Setting
The ultimate goal of the outreach is to generate qualified conversations and book appointments for the client.
Responsibilities may include:
4. Messaging & Outreach Strategy

The successful candidate may be expected to:
The client already has an onboarding form and a lead-generation concept but does not yet have a fully developed outreach messaging system.
5. CRM & Lead Tracking
The VA will help establish and maintain a structured lead-management process.
Potential responsibilities include:
The client is comfortable with HubSpot and is open to using a standard CRM solution.
6. Automation Support
The client has experience with automation and is open to having the VA assist with developing and improving automated workflows.
Depending on the candidate's technical ability, responsibilities may expand to include:
Advanced automation/technical experience is not necessarily required for the initial role, but it is a strong advantage and may allow the VA to grow into a broader role.
7. LinkedIn Content & Engagement Strategy
Content creation is not the primary responsibility at the beginning, but the client is open to strategic support around LinkedIn.
The VA may assist with:
8. Reporting & Optimization
The VA should maintain visibility into outreach performance and provide regular updates.
Potential metrics include:
The client is open to recommendations regarding appropriate outreach volume based on the agreed weekly hours and the VA's workflow.
Lead-Generation Funnel
The VA should understand the client's intended sales process:
Prospect Research → LinkedIn Connection → Personalized Outreach → Interest/Conversation → Website/AI Visibility Scan → Onboarding Form → Qualified Appointment → Client Consultation
The initial lead magnet is an AI/website visibility scan that helps identify whether a business is appearing effectively in AI/search environments such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and similar platforms.
The business may then identify additional business "leaks," such as:
The VA should be able to understand this value proposition well enough to communicate it clearly to prospects.
