Position Summary:
The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing Liberty Company’s full-cycle accounts payable function across a multi-entity organization. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of vendor payments, maintains strong internal controls, and leads process improvement initiatives that support the company’s continued high-growth environment. The Accounts Payable Manager will supervise accounts payable staff and collaborate closely with accounting leadership and subsidiary teams to ensure efficient financial operations.
Essential Functions:
Oversee the full-cycle accounts payable process including invoice processing, approvals, vendor maintenance, payment processing, and reconciliations.
Review and approve weekly payments runs which consist of ACH, wires and check payments.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including W-9 maintenance and 1099 filings.
Analyze, improve, and document accounts payable workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Lead the development and utilization of data analytics to monitor department KPIs and manage cash flow
Provide financial reporting and forecasting of weekly cash requirements.
Supervise, mentor, and develop accounts payable team members, ensuring productivity, accountability, and professional growth.
Provide strong and effective leadership across teams through collaboration, communication, problem-solving, innovation, execution and results.
QualificationsMinimim Qualifications/Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounts payable experience.
Proven experience overseeing full-cycle accounts payable function.
Prior experience supervising and leading accounts payable staff.
Experience working in a high-growth and multi-entity corporate environment.
Intermediate level proficiency in Excel with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Passion for building out processes, problem-solving and working independently.
Highly organized, accurate, detailed-oriented and takes pride in the quality of their work.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
