Account Executive (San Diego Area, CA)

Zipdev is a global staffing and talent solutions company that helps businesses build high-performing teams through flexible staffing, recruiting, and talent solutions. We are looking for an experienced Account Executive to join our San Diego team and help drive new business growth while building strong, long-term client relationships.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a results-driven Account Executive who is based in San Diego, California and has proven experience selling staffing or recruiting services.

This person will work closely with Zipdev leadership and our San Diego team to identify new business opportunities, develop relationships with decision-makers, understand client hiring needs, and position Zipdev's staffing solutions to help clients build their teams.

The ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder and consultative seller who understands the staffing industry, is comfortable prospecting and generating new business, and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

What You'll Do

• Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities within the San Diego market.
• Build and maintain relationships with executives, hiring managers, and other key decision-makers.
• Generate new client opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, industry events, and other business development activities.
• Understand client workforce and hiring needs and recommend appropriate staffing solutions.
• Lead sales conversations from initial outreach through discovery, proposal, negotiation, and close.
• Partner closely with Zipdev's recruiting and Talent Success teams to ensure client needs are clearly understood and effectively supported.
• Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and consistently work toward revenue and new-client acquisition goals.
• Manage and grow existing client relationships and identify opportunities for additional business.
• Stay informed on staffing, recruiting, and labor-market trends and use that knowledge to advise prospects and clients.
• Maintain accurate activity, opportunity, and pipeline information in Zipdev's CRM.
• Represent Zipdev professionally at client meetings, networking events, and industry functions.

This is a local San Diego-based role and requires the ability to meet with clients and prospects in person as needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in staffing, recruiting, or talent solutions sales.
• Proven track record of generating new business and closing staffing or recruiting deals.
• Must be based in San Diego, California.
• Strong understanding of the staffing industry and staffing sales cycle.
• Experience selling to business leaders, hiring managers, and executive-level decision-makers.
• Strong prospecting and business development skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Highly motivated, self-directed, and comfortable working in a results-oriented environment.
• Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Experience using a CRM to manage accounts, opportunities, and sales activity.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a growing organization.

Success in this role means building a strong San Diego pipeline, consistently creating new client opportunities, converting prospects into Zipdev clients, and developing relationships that generate long-term growth.

You'll have the support of Zipdev's recruiting and delivery teams, but you'll be expected to take ownership of the sales process and drive opportunities forward.
