The Product Manager will own initiatives across financial systems, order-to-cash, and revenue operations while partnering with cross-functional teams to map processes and identify gaps. They are responsible for defining functional requirements and ensuring business needs are accurately translated into technical solutions for engineering and data teams.
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to support Financial Systems, Business Intelligence, Order-to-Cash, and Revenue Operations initiatives within a complex enterprise environment.
This role sits at the intersection of Product, Finance, Legal, Revenue Operations, and technical teams. You will work proactively across these organizations to understand existing financial and commercial processes, identify data and workflow gaps, document requirements, and help translate business needs into clear functional specifications that technical teams can execute.
The ideal candidate combines strong Product Management fundamentals with practical knowledge of financial systems, contract and billing processes, operational reporting, and the data flows connecting CPQ/CLM and ERP platforms to downstream BI and analytics environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Own and support Product Management initiatives across Financial Systems, Order-to-Cash, Revenue Operations, and related BI capabilities.
* Partner proactively with Product Managers, Finance, Legal, Revenue Operations, and other stakeholders to map existing processes, identify gaps, and drive alignment.
* Understand and document end-to-end commercial and financial workflows spanning contracts, billing, entitlements, and downstream revenue recognition.
* Validate pricing, order, and contract data to troubleshoot operational issues and support accurate reporting.
* Define requirements for operational dashboards, reporting, and analytics that provide visibility into financial and commercial processes.
* Create process maps, workflow documentation, business requirements, and non-technical functional specifications that engineering and technical teams can translate into solutions.
* Partner with technical and data teams to ensure business requirements and financial-system logic are accurately represented in downstream systems and BI platforms.
* Understand how data moves between CPQ/CLM systems, ERP platforms, billing/revenue systems, and analytics environments.
* Identify opportunities to improve data quality, operational efficiency, process transparency, and reporting.
* Communicate clearly with senior stakeholders and proactively drive conversations needed to resolve ambiguity and move initiatives forward.
Must-Have Qualifications
* 5+ years of Product Management experience within Financial Systems, Financial Systems BI, Order-to-Cash, Revenue Operations, or related SaaS/technology environments.
* Solid understanding of core accounting terminology and the contract lifecycle, including billing, entitlements, and downstream revenue recognition impacts such as ASC 606.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence and initiative to proactively engage busy Product, Finance, and Legal leaders to gather information, map processes, and drive alignment.
* Proven experience validating pricing, order, and contract data for troubleshooting, operational reporting, and dashboard development.
* Strong analytical, process-mapping, and documentation skills.
* Experience translating business needs into clear, non-technical functional specifications for engineering, data, or other technical teams.
* General understanding of ERP platforms such as Workday, NetSuite, or SAP.
* General understanding of CPQ/CLM platforms such as Salesforce CPQ, Zuora, Conga, Icertis, DocuSign CLM, or Ironclad.
* Understanding of how CPQ/CLM, ERP, billing, and related commercial-system data flows into BI and analytics platforms.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
* Conceptual understanding of modern data stacks and how data platforms support Financial Systems and BI use cases.
* Familiarity with business applications of Generative AI, large language models (LLMs), or predictive machine-learning models within corporate finance or financial operations.
* Experience in a high-volume marketplace or enterprise sales environment involving complex deal structures.
* Experience with contract analytics, contractual obligation tracking, or related compliance/reporting capabilities.
* Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process-improvement methodologies to Financial Systems, Revenue Operations, or related processes.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The strongest candidate is a Product Manager who can bridge Finance, Product, Legal, Revenue Operations, data, and engineering teams. You should be comfortable going beyond backlog management: proactively investigating how processes work today, validating the underlying data, identifying operational gaps, defining what the business needs, and helping technical teams translate those needs into scalable reporting, workflow, and BI solutions.
Deep engineering expertise is not required. The emphasis is on Product Management, financial and commercial process understanding, analytical thinking, stakeholder engagement, functional requirements, and the ability to connect business processes with the systems and data that support them.
