Act as a technical advisor to prospects by conducting product demos, architecture deep-dives, and leading proof-of-concept engagements. Partner with account executives to qualify opportunities and provide customer feedback to product and engineering teams.

Lead the design and implementation of the distributed SQL query execution engine for YugabyteDB. Focus on optimizing execution paths, enhancing runtime observability, and mentoring engineers on distributed systems design.

The role focuses on acquiring new enterprise logos and managing key accounts within the Pacific Northwest geography. Responsibilities include the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery to negotiating and closing large deals.

Triage and own technical support tickets for enterprise customers, focusing on root cause analysis of distributed systems issues. Collaborate with global engineering teams to escalate bugs and contribute to the shared knowledge base.

Provide technical assistance to customers using YugabyteDB by troubleshooting issues related to distributed databases and cloud infrastructure. Collaborate with internal engineering and product teams to resolve customer challenges and contribute to the knowledge base.

Define and drive the technical vision, architecture, and strategy for YugabyteDB’s Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS), leading the design, development, and maintenance of its cloud infrastructure components. Responsibilities also include managing operational priorities, establishing incident response processes, automating maintenance like upgrades, and building security/storage management processes for the DBaaS.

This role involves defining and driving the technical vision, architecture, and strategy for YugabyteDB’s Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS). The engineer will lead and execute engineering projects from planning to deployment while guiding and mentoring junior team members.
