The expert will lead human-centered design work by understanding caregiver perspectives on navigating pediatric pneumonia care, identifying system gaps, and collaborating to design responsive caregiver interactions and workflows. This involves documenting the current experience, defining priority gaps, and designing improved interactions across the entire care journey.

The Health Economist will provide specialized economic knowledge and methodology guidance to inform the design of an intervention aimed at reducing costs and improving outcomes in the pediatric pneumonia care pathway in Zanzibar. This includes analyzing current cost drivers, providing economic evidence for design features, and advising on cost-effectiveness measurement.
