About You

You're an experienced project manager who thrives on bringing structure to complex website projects while keeping people, timelines, and quality at the center of everything you do. You enjoy turning big ideas into clear, actionable plans and have a knack for keeping projects moving forward-even when priorities shift.

You have experience managing large-scale website builds using the Waterfall methodology and understand how to balance scope, timelines, budgets, and client expectations without losing sight of the details. You're organized, proactive, and an excellent communicator who enjoys collaborating with designers, developers, strategists, content creators, and clients to deliver exceptional work.

While Waterfall project management is your foundation, experience working as a Product Owner or within Agile environments is a plus. You appreciate both structured planning and iterative collaboration, allowing you to adapt your approach based on project needs.

Most importantly, you're someone who enjoys solving problems, building relationships, and helping teams do their best work.

About the Job

As our Web Project Manager, you'll lead the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of website projects for destination marketing organizations across the country. Working within our integrated agency, you'll partner closely with internal teams and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with exceptional quality.

This role oversees projects from initial planning and discovery through launch and post-launch support, while also coordinating related marketing initiatives such as landing pages, digital campaigns, print visitor guides, and other web-based experiences that inspire travelers to explore destinations throughout the United States.

You'll serve as the operational hub for your projects-bringing together people, processes, and priorities to keep work moving efficiently and clients informed every step of the way.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead website projects through every phase of the project lifecycle, including planning, discovery, design, development, testing, launch, and post-launch support.
  • Build and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including developers, designers, strategists, content creators, QA specialists, and client stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day project lead and secondary client contact, providing proactive communication, project updates, and clear expectations.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria while effectively managing change requests.
  • Monitor project budgets and resources to ensure efficient execution and successful delivery within established constraints.
  • Identify potential risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively remove roadblocks that could impact timelines or project success.
  • Facilitate project meetings, document key decisions, and maintain accurate project documentation throughout the engagement.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and provide an exceptional client experience.
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve project workflows, communication, and delivery processes.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Several years of experience managing complex website projects from planning through launch.
  • Strong experience using the Waterfall project management methodology, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Proven success balancing project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, and client expectations.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills with both clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience coordinating web development, design, content, and digital marketing teams.
  • Ability to proactively identify risks, solve problems, and keep projects moving forward.
  • Experience within a marketing agency, digital agency, or destination marketing organization is highly preferred.
  • Product Owner certification or experience working within Agile environments is a plus.
  • Ability to work within core U.S. business hours to effectively collaborate with clients and internal teams across multiple time zones.
