Position Overview
As VP, Enterprise Sales (EMEA), you are responsible for spearheading net-new sales growth across the EMEA region, targeting high-value enterprise accounts (typically €750M+ revenue). Reporting to the Head of Commercial (EMEA VP Sales), you will operate as a strategic "CEO of your territory."
Typical wins range from €75k to high-six-figure ARR SaaS contracts. Success in this role demands a sophisticated hunter mindset, the ability to self-source 90% of your pipeline, and the executive presence to build trust with C-suite stakeholders and specialized functional leaders. We are looking for a high-energy scale-up professional who leads with value and masters the complexity of modern payment orchestration.
Position Responsibilities
- Strategic Hunting (90% Outbound): Build and execute a territory plan focused on high-fidelity outbound prospecting to generate the vast majority of your qualified pipeline.
- C-Suite Engagement: Build immediate credibility and lead high-level negotiations with CEOs, CFOs, and CTOs, as well as specialized stakeholders such as the Head of Treasury and Head of Payments.
- Technical Sales Mastery: Lead initial discovery calls and high-level product demos independently to build urgency. You will be supported by our exceptional Sales Engineering team for deep-dive technical architecture workshops and face-to-face merchant meetings.
- Deal Orchestration: Lead prospects through complex sales cycles, including multi-stakeholder RFPs, PCI/security reviews, and commercial negotiations.
- Momentum Management: Create and lead Mutual Action Plans (MAPs), tracking milestones and marshaling IXOPAY resources to keep enterprise deals moving on schedule.
- Value Engineering: Build ROI-based business cases that tie IXOPAY capabilities to tangible revenue growth, cost savings, and risk reduction for global brands.
- CRM Excellence: Maintain obsessive CRM hygiene (Salesforce) and leverage MEDDICC to ensure forecast accuracy > 80%.
- Ecosystem Representation: Represent IXOPAY at major industry events and act as a thought leader on payments optimization trends across the EMEA market.
Position Qualifications
- Hunter Track Record: 5+ years of quota-carrying experience in SaaS or Payments, with a proven record of self-sourcing and closing €75k–€500k+ ARR deals.
- Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of merchant payments, e-commerce gateways, tokenization, and/or payment orchestration.
- Executive Presence: Polished communicator who can craft persuasive narratives and lead executive presentations for global buying centers.
- EMEA Versatility: Demonstrated success selling across multiple European markets—comfortable with diverse local regulations and procurement norms.
- Process Orientation: Skilled in project-managing complex sales cycles using mutual action plans, stakeholder maps, and deal-desk checklists.
- Methodology Driven: Working knowledge of Gap Selling, Challenger Sale, or similar value-based frameworks.
- High Energy: Self-starter with an enthusiastic, positive, and highly energetic approach to building a market from the ground up.
- BS/BA degree preferred or equivalent.
Nice to Have
- Experience integrating with PSPs, acquirers, or alternative payment methods.
- Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Salesloft/Outreach, 6sense/ZoomInfo, and Gong/Chorus.
- Multilingual proficiency (e.g., German, French, Spanish) to deepen reach in key EMEA markets.
