Why this role matters:

The Vice President of Health Plan Partnerships is a critical component of AnswersNow’s mission to be the leading solution for high-quality, virtual Autism therapy in the United States, and will be instrumental in executing on the company’s strategy. The role will be responsible for developing, pursuing, and closing new health plan contracts to drive sustainable revenue growth for AnswersNow in line with the company’s national expansion strategy. The VP, Health Plan Partnerships will bring a deep understanding of the health plan market and landscape, a proven track record in closing complex B2B health plan sales, negotiating contracts, and expertise in value-based care (VBC), positioning AnswersNow as the preferred ABA partner for health plans. This role will report to the Senior Vice President, Health Plan Partnerships.

Job Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in data, analytics, or business intelligence — with at least 2 years in a management or lead role

  • Strong SQL skills — you can write and review queries, understand data model design, and validate report logic yourself

  • Proven experience leading a BI migration or platform transition (Mode, Tableau, Looker, or similar to a new environment)

  • Track record of driving cross-functional alignment on data definitions — you've facilitated the messy conversations and gotten teams to agree

  • Experience managing analysts: setting expectations, giving feedback, and growing people

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — you can translate a business question into a data requirement and a data result into a business insight

  • Comfort in a startup environment where process is still being built and priorities shift

  • Experience with Amazon QuickSight or strong AWS data ecosystem familiarity is a significant plus

  • Healthcare or regulated data environment experience is a plus

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with dbt (data build tool) and dimensional modeling concepts

  • Experience with clinical data, outcomes reporting, or payor-facing analytics

  • Background in building a data function from early stage — you've hired the first analysts and defined the first processes


What You’ll Do

Team Leadership & Management

  • Directly manage the contractor data analyst and future analysts as the team scales

  • Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and create development paths for data team members

  • Hire and onboard analysts as the function grows, defining the skills and standards the team will be held to

  • Partner with engineering, product, and clinical leadership to ensure the data team is aligned to business priorities

BI Execution & Migration

  • Own the Mode-to-QuickSight migration timeline and delivery — in partnership with the BI Engineer who owns the technical layer

  • Lead the Mode audit: document what exists, assess what's actively used and trusted, and drive rationalization decisions with stakeholders

  • Oversee the five-domain dashboard buildout from requirements through delivery, ensuring dashboards are accurate, adopted, and maintained

  • Drive consistency in reporting: ensure every dashboard and report reflects aligned metric definitions across teams

Definitions & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Own the data definitions process: facilitate cross-functional working sessions to establish and document agreed definitions for core metrics

  • Translate business questions into reporting requirements that the BI Engineer and analysts can execute against

  • Serve as the bridge between business stakeholders who need answers and the data team that builds the infrastructure to surface them

  • Maintain a living data dictionary and ensure definitions are accessible, versioned, and enforced in reporting

Hands-On Data Leadership

  • This is a hands-on manager role — you should be comfortable writing SQL, reviewing data models, and validating reports yourself when the work requires it

  • Perform or oversee ad hoc analysis to answer urgent business questions when the analyst team is at capacity

  • Review and validate analyst work product before it goes to stakeholders, maintaining a high bar for accuracy and clarity

  • Partner with the BI Engineer on data model design decisions that affect reporting quality and consistency


Success Indicators:

  • You produce meaningful new leads and customer meeting volume consistently each quarter.

  • You sign at least 3-4 net new health plan contracts per quarter.

  • Total addressable market exceeds 50% in all states, with a target of 80%+ at market maturity.

  • The company’s total revenue and percentage of revenue from VBC contracts increases in your assigned health plan accounts.

  • You are a driven, high-expectation, and intellectually curious producer who both advances the company’s growth, brand, and culture.
