We are actively hiring for a Vice President of Commercial Actuarial Pricing and Data & Analytics, a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving profitable growth through actuarial excellence, pricing innovation, and advanced analytics capabilities. This leader will operate at the intersection of actuarial science, data analytics, and commercial strategy, helping shape the future of pricing within dynamic, usage-based risk environments. The role combines deep actuarial expertise with leading-edge data science to develop precise, scalable pricing solutions for platform-based insurance products, strategic partner ecosystems, and emerging mobility risks.
Role Overview
The Vice President will play a critical role in elevating actuarial rigor, modernizing pricing frameworks, and building advanced analytics capabilities that support sound business decision-making and disciplined risk management. This leader will oversee both the commercial pricing and data & analytics functions, ensuring integrated capabilities that continuously monitor, evaluate, and refine pricing assumptions.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Advancing actuarial insights that accurately reflect commercial auto loss experience and its underlying drivers, including reserving, pricing adequacy, and development trends.
- Translating complex data into actionable business intelligence that informs portfolio strategy and business performance.
- Developing pricing methodologies for new and emerging insurable risks, including autonomous vehicles and other evolving mobility solutions where traditional loss histories and exposure data may be limited or nonexistent.
- Designing and overseeing pricing strategies for complex risk structures, including large risk transfer accounts within the sharing economy and strategic partner programs.
- Creating competitive, actuarially sound pricing solutions that support sustainable growth and strengthen market positioning.
Strategic and External Leadership:
In addition to leading internal pricing and analytics strategies, this executive will have significant external visibility and influence. The role requires developing and maintaining relationships with major clients, brokers, reinsurers, MGAs, and strategic partners while supporting the negotiation and design of large-scale insurance programs. Client relationships range from smaller programs generating approximately $100,000 to $1 million in annual premium to major partnership programs involving hundreds of millions of dollars in premium volume.

Your Work
Commercial Pricing Strategy & Execution
- Define and lead pricing strategies for mobility-focused commercial products (e.g., rideshare, autonomous vehicles, delivery, and emerging mobility segments)
- Establish rate adequacy, segmentation, and price optimization frameworks tailored to dynamic, usage-based risk profiles
- Partner with Product, Underwriting, Client, and Business Development teams to align pricing with innovation and go-to-market strategies
- Continuously monitor portfolio performance, including loss experience, partner profitability, and market competitiveness
- Engage and interface with major client actuarial and risk management teams to develop and enhance relationships, align on risk views and influence appropriate outcomes
Actuarial Leadership & Governance
- Lead the actuarial pricing function, ensuring rigor in rate development, financial forecasting, and regulatory compliance
- Oversee pricing models supporting large-scale partnerships (e.g., platform-based programs with mobility providers)
- Provide executive insights on emerging risks, exposure trends, and volatility inherent in mobility-based insurance
- Support reinsurance strategy and pricing assumptions based on policy, program, and portfolio risk characteristics, including quota-share considerations reflected in current pricing practices
- Engage with clients, insurance brokers, reinsurance brokers, MGAs, captives, and reinsurance companies to advance Mobilitas’ interests and relationships
Advanced Analytics & Data Science Integration
- Lead the Data & Analytics team, which is a shared service supporting the entire Mobilitas organization
- Drive insights that improve underwriting selection, claims outcomes, and customer/driver experience
- Build and scale advanced analytics capabilities, including predictive modeling, telematics-based pricing, and machine learning applications
- Leverage internal and partner-provided data (e.g., exposure and loss information) to dynamically refine pricing and coverage structures
- Develop tools and algorithms enabling real-time or near-real-time pricing decisions for platform-based insurance products
Data Strategy & Technology Enablement
- Partner with enterprise data and technology teams to define Mobilitas’ data strategy across pricing, underwriting, and claims
- Ensure scalability of data infrastructure to support high-volume, API-driven ecosystems (e.g., rideshare platforms)
- Champion data quality, governance, and integration across internal systems and third-party partners
Strategic Partnerships & Commercial Insights
- Collaborate closely with major partners (e.g., ride-sharing platforms) to co-develop pricing strategies aligned with shared risk and growth objectives
- Translate complex pricing and risk insights into partner-facing recommendations and negotiations that enhance program value and retention
- Support negotiation and renewal of high-value commercial contracts through negotiation using emotional intelligence, influence skills, data-driven insights and financial modeling
Organizational Leadership & Capability Building
- Build and lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary team of actuaries, data scientists, and analysts
- Establish a modern operating model that integrates actuarial and analytics capabilities in a fast-paced start-up environment
- Foster a culture of innovation, speed, accountability, and continuous learning
Success Measures
- Achievement of target loss ratios and sustainable profitability in commercial mobility segments
- Increased pricing sophistication (e.g., segmentation, real-time pricing, partner-level customization)
- Effective use of partner and telematics data to enhance pricing accuracy

Scope & Impact
- This role is critical to Mobilitas’ mission to scale as a leading commercial insurer in the mobility ecosystem, with direct influence on product innovation, client and partner relationships, financial performance, and differentiation in a rapidly evolving market
Required Experience, Education and Skills
- 10 + years of progressive experience in actuarial pricing, ideally within commercial auto or P&C lines
- Proven ability to lead others as demonstrated through 7+ years of being responsible for department or, enterprise-wide large cross-functional programs, with at least 3 of those years directly managing others.
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline
- Strategic & Commercial Acumen: Deep understanding of mobility trends, commercial insurance economics, and growth levers
- Actuarial & Pricing Expertise: Mastery of pricing, ratemaking, and risk segmentation
- Advanced Analytics Leadership: Strong knowledge of predictive modeling, telematics, and machine learning applications
- Partnership Orientation: Ability to operate effectively in partner-driven, platform-based business models
- Innovation & Agility: Experience thriving in start-up or high-growth environments
- Executive Communication: Ability to translate complex analytics into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and partners
- Experience supporting large-scale partnerships or embedded insurance models is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated success leading pricing strategy in complex, data-rich environments (e.g., telematics, usage-based insurance, or platform ecosystems)
- Proven track record building or transforming advanced analytics and pricing organizations
